good work, i like it. if you are interested in motion pictures i did recently a artificial animation about color your city. you can find on my chanal or look for weltgang
I'm trying to teach myself how to make a stencil in photoshop from your tutorial. I'm using photoshop CS4. I don't see "A4" as a choice. I'm confused as what to do. Thanks for your input.
Take it easy. Just because you cant read, doesnt mean its a bad tutorial. If you can not read fast then either do 1 of 2 things. Have a family member read it for you, Or press pause to read if you cant read fast. Dont knock the tutorial cuz you cant read.
PS im sorry i didnt put a verbal tutorial I didnt have the technology at the time :( ill try and work something out and post here the link to the new and improved tutorial for people LIKE xxxGR3Gxxx that cant read...POOR GUY
this is the best stencil turorial every ever seen! you kick ass! please never delete this. i literally went step by step along with you. the only problem i have is at 4:37 you stop to make it lighter. I need to make it darker. any input would be greatly apriciated. thank you for this video
yeah I used the DODGE tool to lighten it. To darken it you use the BURN TOOL. The burn tool looks like a hand holding a mouse. If you see in the left tool bar a Lolly pop (dodge tool), then click and hold till some more options come down and then you will see the burn tool. Just make sure the exposure is around 15-25 or it will get too dark too fast. Good luck and thanks for those nice words. :)
i got up to when your using the 'artistic cutout' filter. 'artistic' was not an option in the filter menu.. do u know what i might have done wrong? thanks
the way you did it turns out better after but you can get 'paint dot net' for FREE and it does the same things with one button i have created many good/ok stencils with it and drawn my others..
there are also lots of sites and few vids on how to get photo shop free and for paint i do the same thing I(spray stencils on shirts) normal wal mart spray paint which is cheap but not the best, how ever there are some types of paints (not spray) that are able to stay on after a wash
Listen here butthole,Im not not putting down people that cant draw but still wanna express themselves artistically, I applause people for that. Second I'll use any language i see fit to express myself no matter how coarse it may seem.
haha but magnetic lasso is so much easier. and this is suppose to be a easy tutorial for people to who need the help. thats all. WHAT EVER GETS THE JOB DONE. magnetic of not. :)
ask on website or you can use word go to image tools and set it black and white and then mess about with threshholds thats what i used to do before i got photoshop=)
I noticed that you're NOT using the threshold ADJUSTMENT LAYER. Why? With that, you can dodge the original image, AND see how the threshold changes REAL TIME. Much easier that way...
It was just a very very quick tutorial. nothing special. it was for some friend of mine to get her started. as i said nothing special. just quick and to the point.
i still prefer the more manual way of creation... shows ones artistic ability and not photoshop click skills.... lol oh and im not ripping into you dw... im just a fussy little artist hehe.
all photoshops have the same basic principals, and u dont have to lasso anything out, just use your eye afterwards... any person who has a sense of art can do that. but i suppose, photoshop has about 7 routes for everything haha. this would help beginners. thanks anyways...
I just wanted to tell you that you are brilliant! I learned more in your tutorial than I have in some classes that I've taken. I can't wait to try out what I've learned - I will be looking for any other tutorials you might post, and I hope you do many more - thank you!
:) yeah glad this video could help. It is only a quick and easy way to make a stencil, nothing major. I might get another video that has more details but for right now this is the best i got. So i hope it helps.
The easiest way I've found, is try to work with large images as is. The larger the better. If you like something smaller, you can press ctrl+T to open the transform tool. You'll notice that the top, sides, and bottoms, as well as the corners, now have boxes that you can pull. Grab ahold of one of those corners and press alt+shift or alt+ctrl (I'm going completely by memory) and pull! Voila! Instant resized image! (to scale, to boot!)
Photoshop CS2 (the program that was used) can sell for between 200-600 dollars. However, there are many websites that say you can buy it for 60 dollars or so. I dunno. You might be able to get it from staples/office max/best buy for fairly cheap.
You got rid of too many important shadows on the face and thus your finished product end up looking nothing like Ellen and just looked like a random face.
I did this video just to show the important steps on making a stencil. The real stencil that i made looked alot better. I quickly made this video to help others make stencils with the easiest possible steps. Thats all. I wasnt going for perfection.
Theres also an easy way to do this by tinkering with the levels, the number of colors in the image, and several things found in the image menu. Unfortunately, I dont use CS2, so I cant really point out how. I'm one of those die-hard 7.0 fans. Still, your result came out VERY nice.
hi can you help me please i got Photoshop 7.01 and theres no artistic cut out what to do ? please help
