yeah, the bottom of blu rays are tough, TOO BAD THE TOP OF THE DISK WHERE THE LABEL IS SCRATCHES EASY AS HELL. Seriously.. i have like 2 ps3 games with these tiny little holes in the top of the disk where the foil rubbed off, and you can see clearly through to the other side if u hold in the light... blu ray discs are extremely fragile.. the tops of them are anyway.

There's a difference between loading it up for a few seconds and declaring that it "still works", and playing a game or movie through to the end, to REALLY see if it still works. This tells us nothing....he could have gotten near the end of a film and gotten read errors.

The fact remains that Blu Ray discs are much harder to scratch and permanently damage than DVDs. I used to keep my 360 games in a CD sleeve booklet and most of them are scratched now. MW2 won't load every once and a while now.

On blu-ray discs, the data is placed 0.5mm from the surface, so it can if they are deep then it can, but if they are just surface scratches, then nope :D
