I hope I'm not insulting anyone when I say, this is nothing like what we call a pie-eating contest in the US. The way we do it is an entire fruit pie, blueberry is best that the contestents must eat with their hands behind their backs. Personally I'd be afraid to so something like this with pork pies because you could choke on a piece of meat.

"Americans can eat"? lol. Ok I did once eat a half gallon of ice cream after a full dinner and desert...in less than five minutes...without my hands. I'll have to agree with my fellow Americans, though, too, and ask for fruit filled pies next time.
