They cancelled every part of the convention that they could cancel. The speech he gave was very respectful. He told the mayor that the NRA was already present in the community because members of the community, who had also suffered from that tragedy, were members of the NRA. I was shocked to hear that the father of one of the shooters called 911 and said that he thought that his son was the one doing the shooting. If a parent thinks that their child could possibly bring a gun to school and shoot other students, their child should be sent to some kind of psych ward. Obviously he knew his son had issues if he knew that he was a part of the "trinch coat mafia" so I don't understand why he did not get his son help. This whole thing could have been prevented.

I've never heard of any kind of remotely bad incident involving guns in any part of my family.
I think the danger of just having guns around is over-exaggerated.
I think we should have stricter laws on useless guns, like automatic

If a parent thinks that their child could possibly bring a gun to school and shoot other students, their child should be sent to some kind of psych ward.
