Thank you for the comment on western star trucks... i work at the portland oregon plant making western star trucks.. bad thing is they want to move the plant to mexico...no one can make a truck like we can.. in fact. portland is where freightliner started out by people like my dad...

It's amazing how fast those semi trucks fly on these roads. A few years ago I was driving on a road like this 55-60mph in my Bronco, couldn't go any faster without spinning the back tires, and those semi's kept passing me doing like 70!
No sense flooring a big diesel like that, waste of fuel and makes the engine work harder than it has to. And the older ones just belch out the smoke if you go too hard. Funny that hammer down doesn't necessarily mean foot to the floor.
