  • I visited this wonderful place last month the first time since I rode the last CNJ train out. I remember that night well. There were many, many last runs all over the country. Gas I guess was 35 cents a gallon. Today with all the trains just about gone gas has been $4 a gallon. With $6 and $8 in sight. I just wonder why there is no mention of the B&O or the LV which also used the Terminal years past. Also Mile Post Zero here is wrong. It was in Manhattan at Liberty Street Ferry Terminal.

  • I was the last passenger on the last car of the last train out of this depot in 1967. Now in 2009 they've started the tunnel to nowhere project to replace this terminal. This abandonment was a mistake. The new 8 billion project .....a tunnel to Manhattan is an other mistake. At this time it will have no connections to Amtrak and Penn Station nor Metro-North at Grand Central or even Path (H&M...The Tubes) Just a dead end tunnel way under 34th street. 8 billion could reopen JC Terminal.

  • @intercityrailpal The easiest way would be a spur over from the light rail which passes just a mile away. Then expand the boat lines. We need secondary lines, in case of emergencies. The time for centering your operations is over. We need opinions, choices. Don't let highway and oil company people completely control transportation planning. This video is the result of that,,look at what they've done!
