Yeah mazardiflash, a lot of people don't people don't realize that Ron O'Neal, who played the Priest in Superfly was a classically trained actor. A lot of guys in these films were waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overqualified. Like Thalmus Rasulala, who had a part in Blacula but was also in The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman and Roots.

Unfortunately,MGM (which made a majority of the black action films) stopped making these movies by the late 70's and hollywood wouldnt let black actors be in mainstream rolls in the 80's.
