  • How dare you call this man a master? This dude has learnt to play the blues scale with speed and dextorosity, there is no personality or heart in his playing

  • My dream of playing this good got stuck in the array of dream catchers on this dudes wall..

  • love that SRV "Pride and joy" influence at 1:20

  • @sglp9000 Dude, thats not ''invented'' by SRV... it's an old blues move... :)

  • i was wondering is it better to use thiner or thicker strings to get this kind of sound?

  • @M3Z4C Thicker strings are always better.

  • Please, what's the name of the song?

  • Why do I always search for music on youtube that makes me want to throw my guitar out the window and never touch the thing again?

  • @flandrian15 Man it should make you want to play to that level, it should be inspiring not defeating.

  • @flandrian15 years and years of practice

    Amazing! :D

  • I love this....was sittin here playin to it puttin a lil lead in which it needs none but def was fun...Favorited!

  • FUCKING AWESOME!!

    Clapton eat your heart out.

  • Great sound man!

  • lightnin hopkins is better, i suppose this is master according to the white youtube standard

  • @horbergaren Seriously? The race card needs to be played here also? I personally like Buddy Guy the best and you can't really top King. However this guy uses some intricate playing and composure. And I would say the structure of the song is pretty technical. Just because you a master doesn't mean you're the best. It means your one of the best.

  • @lonewolf052706 First of all, i usually do not care much about race, with two exceptions, dance and music. Secondly, you can't compose blues man, it's like saying that you compose life, or compose a story. This dude can play fast, and yeah cool he does the hammer on/off very fast and all that, but i might as well just listen to a machine playing it, go and listen to snooks eaglin, elmore james, T-bone, Blind willie, Blind lemon, from top of my head, those are some of the best

  • That was spectacular!

  • does anyone knows where can we get de tabs of this monumental piece of art?????

  • @joacoramas lol do you have any idea how long that tab would be, it would take a month to decipher learn it like that. Even still, I doubt he was reading this. Definitely improvised. Learn some scales, blues chords and mix that shit up yourself my friend. Nothing more beautiful than genuine guitar skill and creativity.

  • :O:O:O:O:O:O I CANT BELIEVE THIS

  • Damn he is pouring his heart out in this. God I wish I could do that...

  • @lXlRIVERlXl I take it you're allergic to dedicated practice?

  • DUDE you freaking tare that sht up man

  • more!

  • blues is something almost anyone can appreciate :) nice blues playing there

  • Love it! Great job man!

  • wow dude , amazing

  • Uploaded on 07.07.07 :D Had to say it....

  • man he´s amazing :D !

  • This is awesome playin'!

  • This is what I aspire to... It's amazing how learning to play the guitar has caused my musical tastes to change. I didn't used to care much for blues until I started playing. Now I really hear it...and feel it... I definitely feel this!

  • *Awesome!*

  • i think you know but im gonna say it anyway

    youre DAMMMNNNNNNNNNN fine

  • Yes, just after only our three week online guitar course from jamorama...you can play like this! secret guitar secrets, no practise, listen to our cd's at night IN YOUR SLEEP and presto....you will play like him....ya, right! hard work, years playin.

  • HOLLY SHIT!!!! WHAT A FEELING, his style is like a combination of Robert Johnson, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, I wanna play like that!!!!!!!!!

  • Hai.man you so good!!! never l cant so pley), GREAT !!

    Groeten uit Holland.

    Bart.

  • OOOOHHHH Good. I love your tune and your feeling ! From France !

  • OMG AND I THOUGHT I WAS GOOD FK IT! I QUIT 1 martin and gibson for sale

  • I think I clicked on the "like" bottom 10 times already

  • What is the tuning ?

  • @va2xgm Standard - 12 bar blues

  • @mwhdvm Thanks ! Pretty cool !!

  • @mwhdvm Thanks Sir. Pretty cool music. Love it !!

  • @mwhdvm what do u mean by 12 Bar blues?

  • @coyotekus Do a Google search and check out the Wikipedia page. From that page: The 12-bar blues (or blues changes) is one of the most popular chord progressions in popular music, including the blues. The blues progression has a distinctive form in lyrics and phrase and chord structure and duration. It is, at its most basic, based on the I-IV-V chords of a key.

  • @mwhdvm He ment like open G or open D.

  • @mwhdvm That wasn't the question. I don't think you even understand the question.

  • @sd850 He's playing 12-bar blues in the key of E - standard tuning. 100% improvised - never plays it the same. There is no tab.

  • @mwhdvm you use a thumb pick in this video?

  • @coyotekus 12-bar blues" is short for a 12-measure (measure is another word for bar) chord progression, which at completion, cycles through and repeats itself as many times as needed for the verses, choruses, and solos in a song....help any???lol

  • @coyotekus if its in E

    its 4 chords of E

    2 chords of A

    2 of E

    one of B one A

and one of E and either E7 or another A7 chord (If you want it to be Jazzy)

  • @vipeorvette66 If you want blues, you use a seven chord...now if you want jazz, Nine and thirteen chords are the way to go

  • @mwhdvm I bet this would really sing in Eb

  • daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggggggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i want that

  • Daaaaaaaaaaaamn!!! Great perfomance! Unbelievable to me to have that kind of coorination, feel and independence in your fingers. That's a thing guitar players always have to struggle with achieving and Terry got it mastered.

  • Man, Terry -- I sure do miss the days at the White Stag!

Mayor's Ball was awesome btw =)

  • Thank you, Terry! Exellence! So Cool, so Get! Russia lovin You!

  • f'ing 1 million thumbs up...love it

  • Great playing ..................!!!!!!!!!

  • Huge thumbs up!

  • SRV?

  • @AustinxRodriguez sounds like mary had a little lamb but great playing anyway

  • @AustinxRodriguez sounds like pride and joy but great playing anyway.. i wrote mary had a little lamb sorry :)

  • @GrowInTheGhetto the riff you're talking about from pride and joy is borrowed from old accoustic blues tunes in the first place.

  • This guy is amazing. For real. I do find it ironic, however, that a white guy has mastered the music of poor black men and women from the early 20th century. This isn't a "white people steal everything from black people!" comment, I'm just saying. Come on.

  • @biscuitman54731 That's why white guys who play the blues, no matter how skilled, will never have the credibility of the original black artists. This guy is a far better player than Muddy Waters or Robert Johnson but his music lacks the soul and feeling. It's like a white guy who grew up in the suburbs rapping about the ghetto, it just doesn't feel authentic. I mean honestly, what does he know about a "mean ol' world?" Oh, and I'm white so don't think I'm being racist--just telling the truth.

  • @GentlemanHES So, Does that mean Clapton is no good? WTF?

  • dude...you´re good...very, very good!!!! awesome playing!!

  • This is so awesome !!!

  • Two ways to play a guitar

    1. Play easy music and make it look Hard

    2. Play Hard music and make it look easy

Ladies this is an example of the later.

  • just by the look of how this guy can handle his finger movements, i think he could make every woman come. EVERY woman.

  • Blues is all about the feel of the music. I'm a novice, but i get lost in the way this genre of beautiful music leads me. No matter how much i try to grasp the concept of the basics, I just cant help myself when its just me and the ole' six string.

  • Another amazing artist. Great git fiddlin'...truly inspiring...Muddy would be proud of you for keepin' them blues alive...

  • what kind of guitar is that any ideas ??

  • @MrGuitarguy1967 It is a Martin but I don't the model :-)

  • terry really has a great feel when he plays which is the essence of great blues guitar......hail 2 the master!

  • whoopy !!!

  • FANTASTIC BLUES !

  • *o*

  • very good

  • wow! !!

  • Trully a blues master

  • Terry grew up a block away from us in the Parkrose Heights school district. I still remember hearing the loud electric rock and blues practicing coming from his homes open windows when we were in our teens. I have watched his performances many times in our home town of Portland Oregon over the years. Terry plays as if the guitar was a natural extension of his body. A true master musician and artist. - Mark Seibold

  • Great playing!

  • BRILLIANT...!!!

  • Nasty Big Time ! Born w/ the blues !

  • smok'n!

  • I still don't understand how this guy isn't world famous.

  • ur damn good!

  • this is great blues..massive!!!!

  • This is great blues..massive

  • Stevie who ? Nothing at all like Vaughan . He stayed away from all those cliche template blues licks with no feel . So don't say Vaughan just because you can't think of another blues artist .

  • sounds like stevie... I like it
