@Malik4797 Because it's not that good of a song. And I'm definitely a DH (&JO) fan. But this song was par for the course at the time. So I accept it for what it is...but what it isn't is good.
OMG!! What a wonderful blast from the past. The 80"s...such a fun & innocent time. The music was so mjuch fun. ....Is there anyone as talented as Daryl Hall? One of my very very favorites. Always. :)
What a cutie....I just love this video! ...Love the Hair!....it's classic, quirky Daryl at his best in the 80's...can't help but laugh and get in a great mood after watching this. Daryl just gets better with age...love his monthly webcasts on "Live from Daryl's House"...if you have not seen it, do yourself a favor and check it out!....Amazing song from an amazing musician/songwriter! Thanks PBAMSE for posting!
@pbamse No. Not really. It's pretty forgettable actually. Chord progression and 80s sounds don't give this song any soul. It's too "candy-coated" and therefore, forgettable 80s pop. "Someone Like You," especially the live version on Letterman, is so much better. You can see past the 80s sound in that and feel the soul of that song.
did Darryl Hall do a song in the early to mid 90s where the lyrics were "we both know it's over now, but we don't Know how to say goodbye" and in the beginning their were some lyrics "don't know how we fooled ourselves...."......I'm thinking it might have been him....I've tried lyric searches and can't find out who this song was by.....somebody hellllpppp!!!!

Thanks for the info. I was wondering if this video came from a video that had several videos on it like "Hall & Oates Video Collection 7 Big Ones". I am always looking for video of their concerts or videos. Thanks
I think he was born in 48 which makes him 60, same age as my mother....but damn if all men were 60 and still looked as good as he does, I'd be dating older men.
I love this song. Daryl is just so good-looking. I just love it when he smiles while he sings. He's stil my favorite singer and no one comes close!!! I love his long hair too!!!

Whoooooo back in the day noone could touch his vocal style ! I love the entire album this song comes from Three Hearts in the Happy Ending Machine. It is one of the few albums I can listen to from beginning to end and it is a complete joy to hear
Right you are! Amazing album! EVERY TRACK could have been a single. Very VERY underrated work from Daryl. Its his best album ever - with or without John Oates
I love Daryl too... and yeah he looks so good in this video... I am having the worst time trying to get this song on my ipod... I must have it!! Amazon, here I come...
I may be married now, and Daryl, you're old enough to be my father. I'm in my early thirties. But, I'll dump my husband in a heartbeat just for you. I promise.
3 Hearts In The Happy Ending Maching, great title isn't it. Great songs too. If you like his solo work and want to hear something diffrent and out of the box from him, find his Sacred Songs CD. I had it on cassette for years and about 4 or 5 years ago I found it remastered on Buddha records. It even has 2 bonus tracks and new liner notes by Robert Fripp that he did the album with. Great stuff. Diffrent that what you expect from him but kind of the same. If you hear it you will see what I mean.
This song is so cute, that it's one of my favorite songs off Daryl's 3 hearts solo album, and my favorite video to watch on youtube. Daryl's so sexy!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for posting this!!! I've been a huge fan of his for over 25 years. "3 Hearts..." I still consider to be his very best solo album - bar NONE. I could listen to that album front to back all day long! Back in the day, I didn't have MTV, so I had no way of ever seeing this video - until today! Thanks for bringing this quest of mine to a final close after over 20 years! :)
