It's pretty sad when people use terminology that should NEVER apply to what they are trying to convey. It's like the "Christian Side Hug" monstrosity where they refer to each other as "rough riders" when they clearly don't know what that term means. Now we have "banging" for Christ. Banging can be used to mean MANY things. NONE of them are good in this case.

I just read Romans 14 and I think it applies to this perfectly. It says accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgement on disputable matters. One man's faith allows him to eat everythign while another man, whos faith is weak only allows him to eat vegetables. te man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who doesn not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him. Nadab and Abihu were preiests. Priests were supposed to teach others God's law. Instead these preiests disobeyed a law about how they were supposed to worship God. It makes sence to come to the conclusion that what they did was wong. I can also see that if you use rap to represent the "strange fire" or unauthorized fire as my bible calls it, then it makes sence that rap is a sin.

It does not specifically say that " rap is sin, just like it does not specifically say " dont smoke" , because God gave you the holy spirit to discern, and he also gave you common sense. The reason why you dont think that rap is sin, is the same reason a drug addict does'nt think getting high is a sin. because you like it. So thats betwen you and God. But anyone who knows God, knows what God accepts as praise, just like you know whats acceptable and unacceptable behavior on your job.

However, SAR is still correct. Prior to the Hebrews using "amen" as they did, it can be found even earlier in Egyptian cultures. Theirs was not PRECISELY "amen" but it was very close. The Hebrews took the word and brought it into their language with an adjusted meaning. The same way Americans adopted the word "rodeo" from Spanish which meant "to surround" and we turned it into an event where people ride bulls, rope cows, etc.
