  • You guys just gloss over the actual work. Frank's Sin City is just really crappy Raymond Chandler. And that is not saying much. This is fanboy stuff, but one of you should look into the work and evaluate it critically. Frank has had an impact on superhero comics, but his legacy on of all of comics? Who can say.

  • holy terror well..knock-offs. The book is often offensive, stereotyping Muslims as terrorists. The terrorists use ridiculous attacks like nail bombs and razorblades bombs.. So why did I like it so much? Primarily it’s because of Frank Miller’s art and writing But it was also something else, something I can’t quite put my finger on. Perhaps it’s because the book feels like a parody of America’s blood lust Miller’s real world thinking, which in itself is kind of scary I feel ashamed for liking it

  • Are you guys gonna do a Holy Terror episode? :D

  • Frank Miller put out the 2 BEST Batman storys/Graphic Novels of all time, and for that I am a huge fan. plus I love his writing and art. Frank Miller is a badass!

  • Frank Miller is my favorite Writer

  • Too bad Frank Miller endorses a Police State, and Fascism/Corporate Croney Capitalism

  • This episode really does justice to the name of the show. Only a fan, that has lost his critical abilities can find good DK 2 , it is a bad written book, with a stupid plotline, and the artwork is so bad, specially on issue 3, where it is very rushed, the ink is not properly placed on the chaacters, or surrondings, well bad comic on evry aspect. I still expect Miller to get over this phase , but his level has been mediocre or bad the last 10 years.

  • i'm afraid i have come the party very late.have just bought the dark knight returns (at 36).no doubt trying to relive my youth ;-) in all honesty though, would love to get more into comics/graphic novels.would have to say that batman is probably my favourite superhero (i blame the 60's series,i watched growing up) along with the hulk (i relate to the hulks anger/as i have anger issues myself). a very interesting video :-) peace.

  • I really can't stand the criticism of All-Star Batman. I can't stand that it's childishly criticized for Batman being a jerk. Really it sucks because it sucks. It's dull, poorly paced clumsily scripted. It's just bad.....Oh and it's not Frank Miller's Batman that's emulated. It's Denny O'Niel's Batman. Aside from that. I loved loved loved Miller's Daredevil.

  • @subfighter316 You sir, are correct! A.S. Batman and Robin was bad because of the really bad dialogue and the fact that it was trying WAY too hard. Also, I agree that Dennis O'Neil's Batman is extremely influential... but it seems like all the writer's before Morrison wanted to find the balance between Miller and O'Neil.

  • @TheradiomanofYT yea I definitely love what grant Morrison is doing with the batman reborn series, not to imply that I don't like frank millers take on batman but I prefer frank miller when he creates his own work (in my opinion dark knight returns and dark knight strikes again are ok, but ronin and sin city are amazing)

  • Frank Miller is a bad writer.

  • @agrockman how so? im not trying to start shit im just interested

  • @Derushie01 Well not the Frank Miller of past I talking ABOUT Frank Miller of Today okay.Frank Miller of the 80's is a good But Frank Miller atfer Sin City lost his marlbes.

  • @agrockman okay i see your point but i love all star batman and robin but thats your opinion

  • listening to these guys talk about the various artists in comic history makes me feel really stupid about comics.

  • I'd like a segment on Brain Azzarello please.

  • Talk about All-Star Batman and Robin.

  • I saw a list where people voted grant morrison as better than frank miller, what do you think about that?

  • @TheradiomanofYT Grant Morrison is on better Shape now, and has never delivered awful stuff like Miller. But all in all I would still go for Miller, he is a classic, Morrison is clos to becoming one so in a couple of years he may dethrone miller, in my scale

  • @TheVetoSkreeemer Morrison is a classic for me, and always will be. Invisibles was the first non-cape comic I read, and it blew my fucking mind.

  • @BlazedBastar666 Well I wrote tha four months ago, and have read more Morrison stuff, yes he is one of the greatest comic writers of all time, he surpassed Miller, might be on a par with Gaiman and Moore. Be well. PS: Not all his stuff is great I dislliked Final Crisis.

  • romita mentions on the men without fear feature on the daredevil dvd that he draws on his style mostly to meet deadlines and doesnt focus on being consistant in his drawings really.

  • HEY GUYS COULD YOU DO AN EPISODE ON THE IMMORTAL IRON FIST BECAUSE THAT WOULD BE AWESOME CAPS LOCK.

  • How could they not have done this show already?

  • You should do a show about Jhon Byrne.

  • @anakinyoda i agree. also I hope Byrnes run on the avengers gets the omnibus treatment in time for the new avengers movie.

  • Awesome as always but would like to know if you are planning to do a coverage on Alex Ross!
