Good Job on the video but you forgot one critical step, why didn't you fire coat before you heated the metal. Second when you anneal you should use a oxygen hungry flame and it should be done on charcoal and held at the annealing temperature for several minutes. Fire coating prevents fire scale, you should also quench it directly in a warm pickle once the piece has cooled down between a dull brick to black heat

Harold O'Connor is god!!! The ring can stretch when you round it, because it is annealed, so you have to go carefully. Unless of course, you WANT to stretch it.
