The FEDERAL is what I shoot in mine. Have maybe 1 failure to feed every 200. The gun is awesome.

I wish this was closer to the $200 to $300 mark. At $400+ you could buy a 9mm for a little bit more which isn't terribly expensive to shoot. I love the concept, it's just too much $ for a .22 for me unfortunately =*( **

Two comments. One I just got this gun and love it. I was shooting the Remington 555 box and every other shoot was a jam. Don't know use this ammo. My local gun shop recommended .40 grain ammo federal or cci only. Comment two is on s&w websites this is the only pistol you can not dry fire without damaging the firing pin. I saw u dry fire 3 times in the the vid. Might want to hold back on that. Nice vid. Hoping to shoot mine this weekend with different ammo.

Big Daddy, if you could only buy one pistol, which one do you like better between the two, S&W M&P 22 or Colt 1911 A1 22 LR Pistol? Today I went to a few gun stores to look at both these guns. One store had the S&W on sale for $330. another store had the Colt 10 round with rail for around $325. 3rd store had both 12 rounds, with rail for $375 and Gold for $399. I did notice the S&W was a lot lighter and was told the Colt 1911 22 is built like the 45. Just needing some help, thanks.

@sixfteightinguy First I would make sure to get the 12 round in whatever you buy and second I would take in consideration what you normally shoot or carry. The Colt 1911 .22 is built like the .45 and I like the way it looks, so I would say The Colt Gold for $399. Both are very good handguns for sure. I was leaning towards the Colt 1911 because I want to say I own & bought a 1911 during their 100 year anniversary. But the sale price on the S&W M&P is tempting & might get later if it's on sale again, lol! Thanks again for your advice.

thats SWEET...not a fan of M&Ps but in that package it looks plenty fun and compared to my Mark3 its 100x easier to takedown and clean...Its needs better sights but looks great

And i'd just like to add for all to consider, the CCI Stinger is the biggest bangin round for 22lr.....makes your 22lr pistol sound like a 9mm at the range.....32 grain, 1640 fps......sweet round for any 22lr.

@dambo96 does anybody even make a doublestack magazine fed 22lr pistol? i have an ISSC m22 and also a Mossberg tactical ar style 22, and i tell ya, i would have loved it if EITHER of these came w/a double stacked mag. Here's the thing, i dont think the tiny little 22lr round likes to be doublestacked, i bought the larger 25 rnd mag for my mossy, and the mag seems a smidge wide, and it almost looks like the tend to doublestack themselves a little, and they jamb in the mag. frustrating...

The only thing about these last couple .22s is you would think they could a come up with a double stack mag for them, Like the M&P9 holds 17 rounds so theres got to be enough room in there for over 20 little .22s. But yea the price on the ammo is great I just got a Winchester 555 pack for 18 & some change, 36 grain 1280fps coper plated hollow points hard to beat the ticket. I want to try some cci stingers they're rated at over 1600fps

@Dambo96 - I think it may have something to do with the rim on the .22lr making it difficult or near impossible to feed in a double stack magazine. The .22lr was designed in 1887 for tubular magazines, single shot rifles, SA/DA revolovers, etc...
