Actualy Stephen Sommers told brendan fraser about Gi Joe the movie. Fraser literally begged to be in it (if u saw the comic con intervie) so they said yea. Fraser was going to be gung ho but he was sgt stone instead. AWESOME REVIEW

That's a pretty decent Flin... err Sgt Stone there. He looks generic enough to perhaps make a good basis for some custom Joes.

Not sure if it is true or not, but I heard that Brendan Fraser portrays a decendent of his character, Rick O'Connell from Stephen Sommer's The Mummy movies. Forget the supposed G.I Joe's character first name, but the last name is O'Connell, so someone's info is wrong.

originally he was set to be rock and roll the name didnt clear then he was set to be gung ho wich he refused to do so he dressed himself and said Ill just be the great great grandson of rick o connel and I think they basically figured sgt. stone (since he was created for an anime joe series) wouldnt piss people off to much its all because summers got the ok to direct joe when he was finishing mummy 3
