Beautiful song and amazing anime, ever since I finished the last episode I can't hear this song without getting shivers and feeling the need to deliberately hold back tears. This is my favorite song to my favorite anime, I'm trying to learn it on the violin and I'll put up a video when I get a chance. I honestly don't want a second season. It only worked so well for Clannad because there was ACTUALLY more to the story. Angel Beats ended, all they could do is follow the main character between the time when angel leaves and the time when he leaves and show the others he helps and that honestly just doesn't sound like it'd work out well. Granted everyone wants to know wtf is up with TK, but that can be a little bonus OVA or something, if it isn't already.
@OHSNAPSON26 I agree that it would be difficult to make a second season that's even 1/4th as good as the first, but I think that the plot of the second season could focus on Yuzuru Otonashi waiting for Kanade to return in the afterlife. It seems like that would be a probable plot given the way they worded him "waiting for someone" in the 10 minute epilogue video. @OHSNAPSON26 Sorry, I just think that the idea of Kanade and Otonashi working to fulfill their hearts desire to be together for the rest of time itself, overcoming the obstacles of death, the afterlife, and reincarnation would make an absolutely beautiful storyline, but I am kind of obsessed with that idea so sorry if my rant is getting annoying.

Angel Beats was great but I don't want season 2. Season 2 will just ruin the entire series. They should turn Angel Beats Track Zero into an anime and this time make it 20 eps+ even though there's no Otonashi.

Angel Beats made me cry for real, after many many years.............Don't know why, but for some reason I thought that it was good to experience an old feeling from my old days long gone by.
Angel Beats is definitely one of my favorite animes. People who dislike this really should check yourselves again and give it a chance. I know they have their own opinions but Angel Beats has a deeper meaning than just any ordinary anime! For example this anime relates to so many people that needed a kidney or a heart transplant. They needed a donor! Angel Beats will forever be at the top of my anime list!

I think the line " I can hear your voice telling me I musn't give up" is the message. All the lives of the Battlefront, they weren't very good ones. Being able to relive they"re youth, they all find that because they hadn't fufilled, they're all here. Otonashi helped Yui complete what she wanted to do. He helped almost everyone, inspiring them to just live on. He didn't give up on Yurippe, he never stopped fighting. And neither should we. : )
Yeah...its like..when you know youre moments from dying...the first thing that goes to your head is just your personal stuffs and beliefs. but never the thought of giving up one of your organs...and i guess after watching this. i hope that giving up my organs before i die would cross my mind before i pass on and to give someone else a chance to live.

because "Your Beats" reminds me that she had Otanashi's heart and that this was referring to heartbeats. The song is also about a monotonous life which she certainly seemed to lead in the afterlife.

I'm sure CookiedNCream didn't mean to make it seem like Pokemon is a bad anime.. it's just not as deep as Angel Beats and doesn't really stir up emotion as well as Angel beats. And isn't as deeply thought out as angel beats... I guess, people who just watch random anime would like Pokemon more than Angel beats which is filled with more "realistic" scenes and ideas in it and is more understandable to those who have an element of empathy =)

I hope you realize that just because a show tries to make a play at having sad and emotional stories doesn't automatically make it amazing. The show, yes, had good parts, but it suffered from pacing issues and had way too many characters in the short time that they were given. If the show was expanded out to a longer series and covered the characters more in depth, I'm sure more people would like it rather than not care about the characters who died.
The person I responded acted as if there was nothing wrong with the anime, and basically called people out for having bad taste. I responded with an appropriate answer. I see no reason why you have to be unreasonably aggressive. I didn't say that Angel Beats wasn't "real". There are good parts to the show. I just don't think it's as good as people make it out to be.
Again, I think the song itself is awesome. It's too bad the show couldn't complement it as well. :P

This anime was so sad I finished it this morning and I cried. They played the song at just the right time at the end. It got happier after the credits though...this is probably the saddest song i've ever heard. And I have to say Angel Beats was probaly the saddest anime i've watched. I thought the saddest would always be Wolf's Rain.
@Ghoul9615 OMG i finished angel beats, it was actually really sad. I really didn't like it how they ended the anime. Kanade really changed though, her character changed alot in the ending. aand i didn't realize they ended Elfein lied earlier in the anime, i read the manga.

Anime has the most beautiful music. The ending of AB ripped my heart out. When Angel vanished and Otonashi struggled to hold on, grasping at the air, and fell down I bawled. I've been there. Gone in an instant..

This anime's ending made me cry both times I have watched it, every time one of them disappears I can't help but cry. Only Angel beats and Clannad After Story has made me fully cry.

@BattleMagerX I'll look into it, when I watched Clannad, Angel beats and Kanon I was into harem and drama animes but recently been watching Infinite Stratos and some overs with Japanese names, but right now I like a good harem centered around action.

I think the line " I can hear your voice telling me I musn't give up" is the message. All the lives of the Battlefront, they weren't very good ones. Being able to relive they"re youth, they all find that because they hadn't fufilled, they're all here. Otonashi helped Yui complete what she wanted to do. He helped almost everyone, inspiring them to just live on. He didn't give up on Yurippe, he never stopped fighting. And neither should we. : )

I hope you realize that just because a show tries to make a play at having sad and emotional stories doesn't automatically make it amazing. The show, yes, had good parts, but it suffered from pacing issues and had way too many characters in the short time that they were given. If the show was expanded out to a longer series and covered the characters more in depth, I'm sure more people would like it rather than not care about the characters who died.

The person I responded acted as if there was nothing wrong with the anime, and basically called people out for having bad taste. I responded with an appropriate answer. I see no reason why you have to be unreasonably aggressive. I didn't say that Angel Beats wasn't "real". There are good parts to the show. I just don't think it's as good as people make it out to be.
Again, I think the song itself is awesome. It's too bad the show couldn't complement it as well. :P

Depending on the illness of the child yes saving their life is important. But we are now capable of artificial organs so most organs aren't needed. And you also have to take into account the problem if the child has life long illnesses that will never be fixed and will always be in and out of hospital, let them die.
