The drums sounded much cleaner in the 60's when it was a pure beat, much like a simmering heartbeat that drove us, directed us to the Hill to sit, pray, groove on life, on one another on the harmony of the beat. Today, The addition of other instruments has lent cacophony, frenetic energy and the beat is no longer the message.

But that is soo much more than a "drum" circle.

IMHO the whole drumcircle concept can be used to bring all kinds of instruments, musicians, spirits and their respective cultures togethor.

All a drumcircle really is is the general term for an ad lib style of musical, cultural, and spiritual exchange, like the one shown in this vid.

Peace and luv to all the musicians and to the fine soul who taped them so that soo many others, who weren't there, could see and hear this beautiful moment.

its too easy. over 20 medicinal clubs, some of the best herb in the world (been to amsterdam doesn't compare) and the cops dont waste time regulating on local tokers. you cant walk down haight street without being solicited by a dealer. plus its cheap, an 8th will cost ya $45 tops.
