I dont think most of you understand that the gases on the planet are continuously trying to reach an equilibrium, so if we add to much of one gas to the system, all the other gases are effected, and a series of reactions occur that lead to excessive heat being absorbed and released which results in violent weather changes. Also, reducing use of things that use elec, and release co2, also reduce the amount of toxins that are produced as bi-products. and there not telling you to stop breathing

You're only talking about CO2, actual total pollution is more than that. Look at Malaysia and where they "recycle" ships, they dump all forms of toxic materials into the water, and none of it is CO2, China has rivers that you can't wade through, let alone drink, without being seriously hurt by toxins. It doesn't help that CO2 is more closely monitored in the US than anywhere else in the world, not just Gov. but independant organizations as well. Who's monitoring the other places?
CO2 is combined with a lot of other things that makes it reasonable to focus on CO2 also. But yeah there are other things than should be banned completely but that is not realistic with CO2. And the solution: "but what about them? They are also doing it!" is an excuse used in kindergarten and not to be used elsewhere.

I assumed you wouldn't actually read what I typed, so allow me to redirect you to what I stated above. You may notice, hopefully, that I clearly stated total pollution. You see, there's lots of different kinds of pollution, like chemical run-off from industry and agriculture. They've trumped the U.S. for a very long time with regards to total pollution. Construction in China is more than 10 times as active than in the US, and they have laughable pollution standards for their machines/cars.
That might be true. But were do the products produced in China go? They have a growing middleclass but A LOT of what is produced in China is exported to the West. But thats a whole different matter. CO2-wise USA is still pretty far ahead per capita.
Just me personally, if I had to pick between reducing the amount of CO2 released into the air, or reducing the toxic chemicals dumped into our water supply, I would lean towards the toxic chemical side of things, especially since CO2 is a naturally occurring gas, and clean water is a priority. At least more of a priority than reducing a gas that I am now exhaling.
Luckily its not a matter of chosing one of them. Regarding chemicals it is either ( and mostly) an national matter where you have to try an influence your politicians nationally.
The other can be a consumer issue where you state that you will not buy products which have been produced in a certain way using certain chemicals.
And regarding the clean water then the forecasts are that some areas get less rain and thus less access to clean ground water supply. All thanks to climate changes.

I think that the people who actually don't care should just not listen to this, if they don't want to argue. I think that's best. People have to be careful of what they do here because they can really harm the earth if they aren't carefull enough with handling their everyday products. I think that people have the potential to reuse recycle and reduce the number of stuff they have( as in paper bags and plastic bottles. Plasic bottle ARE reuseable!) around the house.

I dont think most of you understand that the gases on the planet are continuously trying to reach an equilibrium, so if we add to much of one gas to the system, all the other gases are effected, and a series of reactions occur that lead to excessive heat being absorbed and released which results in violent weather changes. Also, reducing use of things that use elec, and release co2, also reduce the amount of toxins that are produced as bi-products. and there not telling you to stop breathing

I only actually watched because of the committees and figured id shoot it to the deputy director running all of it.. Me personally i could not care but ill make the extra effort when its not overly inconvenient.

You're only talking about CO2, actual total pollution is more than that. Look at Malaysia and where they "recycle" ships, they dump all forms of toxic materials into the water, and none of it is CO2, China has rivers that you can't wade through, let alone drink, without being seriously hurt by toxins. It doesn't help that CO2 is more closely monitored in the US than anywhere else in the world, not just Gov. but independant organizations as well. Who's monitoring the other places?

CO2 is combined with a lot of other things that makes it reasonable to focus on CO2 also. But yeah there are other things than should be banned completely but that is not realistic with CO2. And the solution: "but what about them? They are also doing it!" is an excuse used in kindergarten and not to be used elsewhere.

The burning of fossile fuels which have been buried deep in the ground for thousands of years contributes to a net gain of CO2 in the atmosphere. Get it now?
Trees and other plants have been able to use the CO2 which is the waste product when we exhale thus creating a sort of balance lasting for quite some time up until now if the experts (and they are experts) are correct.

Sorry, I was using simple logic and common sense. See, if America cuts its pollution by, let's say 75%, that wouldn't have nearly the effect of India or China cutting their pollution by 33% or so. Therefore the net gain would be greater if we concentrate on the largest total polluters. Hell, most other countries outside of Europe, and the North American continent use leaded fuels still anyway, let's talk to those guys.

Thats a simple lie. China recently became a larger "producer" of CO2 but USA has been ahead a looong time and per capita you are still far ahead. And of course we should help 3rd world countries to pollute less - one of the means could be to make them use the money from CO2 quota to frog-leap on green technology.

I assumed you wouldn't actually read what I typed, so allow me to redirect you to what I stated above. You may notice, hopefully, that I clearly stated total pollution. You see, there's lots of different kinds of pollution, like chemical run-off from industry and agriculture. They've trumped the U.S. for a very long time with regards to total pollution. Construction in China is more than 10 times as active than in the US, and they have laughable pollution standards for their machines/cars.

That might be true. But were do the products produced in China go? They have a growing middleclass but A LOT of what is produced in China is exported to the West. But thats a whole different matter. CO2-wise USA is still pretty far ahead per capita.

Just me personally, if I had to pick between reducing the amount of CO2 released into the air, or reducing the toxic chemicals dumped into our water supply, I would lean towards the toxic chemical side of things, especially since CO2 is a naturally occurring gas, and clean water is a priority. At least more of a priority than reducing a gas that I am now exhaling.

Luckily its not a matter of chosing one of them. Regarding chemicals it is either ( and mostly) an national matter where you have to try an influence your politicians nationally.
The other can be a consumer issue where you state that you will not buy products which have been produced in a certain way using certain chemicals.
And regarding the clean water then the forecasts are that some areas get less rain and thus less access to clean ground water supply. All thanks to climate changes.

Most of this fits into the category of already known, the rest falls into impractical or really not that positive.
The lighting example for one does not work for proper health and safety aspects in where I work. There would be far more damage done from all the painkillers taken from headaches in improper lighting that people having them on.
Recycled paper is not of good enough quality for business purposes and scanning hand written notes (trust me).

I think that the people who actually don't care should just not listen to this, if they don't want to argue. I think that's best. People have to be careful of what they do here because they can really harm the earth if they aren't carefull enough with handling their everyday products. I think that people have the potential to reuse recycle and reduce the number of stuff they have( as in paper bags and plastic bottles. Plasic bottle ARE reuseable!) around the house.
