  • ray is sexy with wet hair!!

  • @NORTHERNIRISHULTRAS2 Mind the Gap!!

  • @NORTHERNIRISHULTRAS2

    Northern Irish ultras. LOL

Stick to your Orange parades you smelly loyalist wankers.

  • @NORTHERNIRISHULTRAS2 I count 6 players in the most recent Northern Ireland squad born outside of Northern Ireland, and 8 players in the current Republic of Ireland squad born outside of the Republic of Ireland - hardly a huge gap? If we're talking first elevens the Republic's team has 2 born outside the territory (St Ledger and McGeady). It's moved on a bit from the Charlton era days of 'granny rulers' making up a large portion of the squad.

  • @NORTHERNIRISHULTRAS2 Erm, all our players are eligible Irish nationals. In our last game, only one starting player was born outside of Ireland. You're clearly not all that familiar with the birth-place of quite a few of your own players.

  • Lawrence Born and bred in Nottingham, Walters Born and bred on merseyside, Leon Best Nottingham, St.Ledger Birmingham, Marc wilson NI (you could argue that its all one country but its 2 seperate countries IMO) Simon Cox Reading so that is 6 and the 2 scots..... This is not an ireland team and the part that is really a joke is that there are better LOI players available.

  • @roudchkjcgh Birthplace doesn't make those examples any less Irish than your cousin. Some might construe your comments as insulting. Who are the LOI players?

  • I can't really understand why England were so dismal in this Euro even though that generation they had then was actually pretty good with Lineker, Robson, Barnes, Bearsley, Waddle, Stevens etc. In between this poor tournament they played some great matches in World Cup 86 vs Poland, Paraguay and Argentina, while in World Cup 1990 England could've beaten eventual winner West-Germany.

  • EngLOL

  • The days ireland was better than england

  • check out the amount of dislikes, jus shows that everyone in the world wanted ireland to win !!

  • @corsodoyl316 England had much better players, they just underperformed.

  • @ojideagu im irish nd i 100% agree with you, england always hav beta players than ireland dats a given. but the irish play with their heart on their sleeves. the irish fans go to games for the love of their country. english fans go because theyd rather start a riot cuz der scummy bad losers!!!! and thats a fact my friend!

  • @corsodoyl316 The riot was in 1995, a long time ago.

  • @ojideagu no differenece, sure you's are even worse now! well listen, i hope ur rite anyhow. hpefully wel play each other again with no riots frm ur crowd and wel see who comes out on top!

  • @corsodoyl316 Half the Irish team was English or Scottish under jack charlton! That was and is the joke down here. You were called the England B team. I've heard a european manager call them that a few years ago in qualifying matches.

  • @ojideagu Come on im irish but they still are an english B team..... Not one league of Ireland player in the team but 5 english players

  • @roudchkjcgh Are you talking about the current team? Everyone in the last selection was an Irish national, naturally. Five Irish England-born players in the last squad of 26 doesn't make us an 'England B team', whatever merits such a joke (insult?) might have had during the Charlton era.

  • @CuChoileain Lawrence, Walters, Best, Mc Geady and McCarthy are all non irish, so in summary no they arent an england b team, you are right, but it pisses me off that people like my cousin will be stuck in the u-21's and he is 100 per cent irish

  • @roudchkjcgh McGeady and McCarthy weren't born in England. Anyway, all those players you mention are Irish, just like your cousin.

  • @roudchkjcgh 100% irish but obv not good enough, get over it!

  • @oranbhoy67 Its better than the irish team.... 35 per cent english and not good enough

  • @roudchkjcgh just because they where born elsewhere doesnt make them not Irish,, im from near enough the same area as Ray Houghton.. speak with a Glasgow accent, yet had i had the choice of country to represent id have picked Ireland over any other country.. the nature of mass emigration from these isles means that there always will be people born & bred abroad who identify as Irish.. that should be a source of pride in you not derision.. & have some respect for a national hero like Ray Houghton

  • @oranbhoy67 Well said. If anything, a team littered with players born outside of the Irish state is a more authentic representation of Irishness due to the history of mass emigration you mention. The Irish community is a global one.

  • england will be 1 of the first teams to be sent home the press will destroy them before they go to europe something always comes out and most of the players dont get on they have a great team but will never win anything because of all this stuff that goes on

  • I just love the ''WE'LL DO DEM FOR YIZ TODAY!''

  • @CuChoileain I'm not sure but from what I've heard and read It's because of the tension in the past between Ireland and England and sepp blatter doesn't want to take a chane on riots. I'm not sure if that's true but if it is what a bulls**t reason.

  • @xKiLL14Nx Where did you hear this? Sounds like nonsense to me.

  • Messi looks like a young Ray Houghton, who would've thought?

  • @gunninlinguist England are good at the minute but they have awful trouble beating small nations so i think we'd win. We cant ply them in Euro's group

  • @xKiLL14Nx Why wouldn't we be able to play them in the group? :/

  • A rematch in Euro '12 would be interesting. Back then we were underdogs with no football history whatsoever and England with some great players were very fancied. But England aren't that strong at the minute, and we've become a team who, while low on stars, are difficult to beat. Obviously they'd still be the favourites, Rooney or no, but it would be a close game I think...

  • Thanks for the memory and heres to next summer, if we don't chance our arms we won't break our necks so just back them and belive in them. Can't wait

  • @saoirseterri well said!

  • I'll be first to admit we don't have the players. And even the manager might be out of sorts. BUT when OUR backs are against the wall WE just MIGHT deliver NEXT SUMMER. QED.

  • .41...

    Who is this guy?

  • @applehunter87 'Tis himself; Mick Byrne of the magic sponge.

  • @CuChoileain Something about him never sat right with me.

  • Believe

  • A fantastic day. Cant believe its almost 24 years ago. It may be happening again soon.

  • Wait 'til we draw England. THE LOSERS 0 THE REPUBLIC 1 all over again. Has COKE BOY CAPTAIN FANTASTIC stopped SNORTING? Terry???

  • RIP Bobby

  • ole ole ole
