@foldane yeah, there is a huge difference between phenom and a project salvo, its really not the same mecanic, phenom use a spool valve, so the phenom use less compress air, in fact the phenom can work with only 300psi, you cant compare a project salvo and a phenom. Btw what is your first language? Cause i speak french and i what to know if its the same cause for you.

And finally, I pre ordered the new Tacamo Mag Fed Conversion kit for the phenom, along with a 250 round, electronic box mag. That basically means my Gun will be mag fed with either 20 round or 250 round mags. It will be the ultimate mil-sim look, no air adapter on the grip due to air through stock, and no hopper. From here, depending on how it looks when it's all assembled, I will get a SCAR shroud (that Tacamo will release soon), a muzzle break/mock suppressor to spiffy up DW barrel, and a grip

I got the gun for 277 used on Ebay. Nontheless, the internals are the important part, and they are in great condition. Things I have done/am doing with this gun:

-Replaced bolt with TechT bad karma bolt right away.

-Got a 30 dollar NC Star DT145 Red Dot scope. Good scope, solid metal construction, visible dot, can be zeroed.

-Air through commando stock w/pro connect 3 Guerrilla Cobra coil.

-14in Deadly Wind Null (cocker thread) with TechT Ifit kit. Most accurate barrel set up ever. Period.

i bought one from store in LA. THe gun is good, i had two games already , close quarters its very good , middle and far its not very acurate. I play with short barrel for close games. very comfortable. the feeding sistem is amaizing, no question. The marker is very simple. if you have any questions before you want to buy it i mean in general i can answer. But But again the gun is good , do not be afraid to buy it. and even with short Barl it is good for middle range combat

What would be the best barrel for firefights at about 75-100 yards for a back player? im not a CQC person so i dont think the length will matter im just looking for something that will fit this gun and will shoot like a beauty... I really dont want to get a crappy barrel or the wrong tank and feel like an idiot... :P

before i answer you why the heck are you shooting at 75 to 100 yards. no paintball gun is gonna be accurate at that distance. unless you are shooting at a tanker boat.

but for a tank i would go with a ninja 68ci or bigger tank. for a barrel i would go with a hammerhead barrel.

I have an original X7. Loved that thing but it had some consistency issues. Still love it. Depends on your field.

@JeRoMeSiMpEl If u buy the Electric, you'll get the mech aswell since theres a semi-automatic mode on both guns, but it depends what you'll be playing and if you preffer spraying. I bought the Mech yesterday on Ebay since I'm not going to be playing any speedball, and for scenario matches, you dont really need a rate of 20 bps or so.

@cinnamonboy2 get the x7 phenom. x7 when it first came out was same price as x7 phenom is now but since the x7 has been out for a while its dropped to about $100 less then phenom. get phenom though. its lighter smaller just as customizable quiter and alot less internals but still just as good. basically tippmann took speedball internals and put them into sturdy woodsball frame. its the best of both worlds. u can check the actuall price at tippmann.com or something.

@abbadon1984 The X7 Phenom is spool based, meaning quiter shooting, more air effeciency and most importantly a more stable fps and straighter shooting. The Phenom is also much easier to do quick maintenence on the field and I think comes standard with E-grip.

In terms of looks they are practically the same, just the toolkit magazine is different.

If you'd doubt between the two, I'd highly recommend the Phenom, it's worth every penny!

@ghaddy12345 the a5 is a good balance between all of em... i plan to get an A5. if you want something absolutely wonderful, though, there is no other than the Phenom, i hear. it is lightweight, and if the electronics fail there is always a semi-auto backup that can take you through the game so you can replace the battery later.

but i plan on getting an A5 with a flatline barrel because i don't wanna spend 400 dollars on a paintball gun. but that's cause i don't play as much as these guys.
