great video, I work with AOI machines and all I cand say is that it seems quite difficult to adjust the parameteres using your software. In industry they say time is money and the faster you can create an AOI program the faster you can optimize it the better it is. Am I right that this is just for demonstration and it isn't intended for mass production?
@djvirus64 hey there fellow AOI operator! I use old Trion model system from Orbotech and creating entirely new program takes me roughly 16 hours :) Defect parameters he spoke of seemed quite vague, just couple parameters for entire program?! Trion has about two dozen of paramets for every component so optimization is a bitch :)
@FerreusNRG I work on Viscom machines and the creation of a program from start to finish it takes me less than 8 hours, dependign on the size of board and the number of components.They have around 50 parameters for each inspection pattern, but this depends on the inspection pattern itself. Optimization isn't that bad but it takes to much to make adjustment, reload program, run inspection and repeat the procedure.
