  • Awesome vid. The 1st minute is spectacular.

  • Have they neen inducted into the rock hall of fame yet? Should be...

  • Harold and Koooomar!

  • Damn, Ann was so hot back then and what a voice.

  • Wow

  • this is the best live audio version of the live ......i wish the video was in high def

ann and nancy are both fab ...the whole band is fantastic

  • Give it up for Ann Wilson people! Nobody comes close to this woman's vocals.

  • We're all here for the same reason, HEART <3

  • I love how she throws the thumb pick or whatever.

  • I'm in love with Ann Wilson. It is no comments. Beautiful and wonderful! I want to sing like her. No more singers like her. These pop singers out there are close to her shame. Ann and Nancy i'm a fan of you. I love you!

  • Best voices in rock? Ann Wilson #1, Linda Ronstadt #2.

  • @dm1121ww Pat Benatar????

  • THAT WAS..... A FIRST CLASS PERFORMANCE...By HEART! Thank you for that incredible upload!!!

  • ναι!

  • You say the black eye peas I say led zepelin!

  • so fucking good

  • If Ann Wilson didn't gain a lot of weight they would have been bigger (no pun intended). I remember that being written about back then. Me? I just love the music and Nancy is hot enough for the both of them.

  • @stillgridlocked how much bigger could they have gotten their 1st 5 lps mostly were gold and platinum sellers they played sold out arenas that they headlined?? i think you mean their popularity might not have declined as much , but they went as most rock bands survived the 80's and waited till rock became "Classic rock in the 90's and is still now bigger than any other movement..incl grunge, metal, rap or pop(whats left of pop).

her weight didn't really matter that much.

  • i actually thought the guitar player was a guy, they i remember this is a 70's video not an 80's one.

  • al the people in the band has the same hair do.

  • ripped again by the RRHOF ladies, but the time is coming.

  • first minute of song.....holy fuck nancy!

  • hey scroll back up your missing the video!

  • Love the part where Ann is harmonizing with everyone in the early 4:50s and then loads up the gun at around 4:56 and blows the roof off the place. So damn hot.

  • @RavishingBeyond

Yeah...I dug that too...you're right she "loads up the gun" there...I think this is my favorite crazy on you performance...I know they are different...but when Ann blasted that out...it made me think about joe cocker...

  • Nancy looks like Randy Rhoads.

  • Willson Sisters!! :*

  • Ann kills.

  • At about 0:55, Annie Wilson looks so HOT when she comes strutting up next to Nancy. She looks like the type of women that would get in a nasty brawl if another woman ever thought about stealing her man. My kind of woman!!!!

  • Ann wearing that choker........... priceless! AWESOME!

  • @ScottFyall you think it still fits her today? lol

  • 0:52 is so boss.... after that pwn fingerpick solo, she ditches the thumb pick, conjures a normal one from her top and starts that rhythm section

  • kkk vc acha q o rock vai morrer mman eu so desses adolescentes 5% nunca a modinha deles morre jaja mas o rock never!!

  • Ann Wilson

  • different clothes back in the day huh ? The girls are all covered up, and the guys are wearing belly/nipple shirts !! btw..the Wilson sisters=hot

  • This was one of the first songs I learned on guitar. Buddy Dave and I would jam in the garage. We didn't sing though. : ) One of the first albums I bought, right after Cheap Trick blank and white.

  • I AM A VIRGIN

  • By far the best intro ever!

  • That's why 70's heart is better than 80's heart... but I love them anyway.

  • i get mezmerized with that ann girl. powerful guitar right there. 80's made them colorful though because of pop image.

btw that nipple guy is quite distracting

  • god....that intro

  • masterpiece

  • Great...

  • Thumbs up if Harold and Kumar go to White Castle brought you here!

  • There isn't anything about this performance that is not outstanding. Ann's voice is not only the best in rock history, she could have probably been a great classically trained star. They should be in the Rock Hall of Fame, especially since half the people in there aren't rock artists at all. Also, I love the way she says "devil".

  • 3:40

  • Perhaps the best vocalist of Rock - Pat Benatar is great too - But Ann Wilson, wow !!!

  • Great, most important (small detail) the plectrum after the intro, throwing it away and taking the new one out of het brah. Great, and I do not know why. Probably the closing of hte intro and starting the "real" work. May be one of the best songs ever.

    I am still in love

  • what about nancy, dude that is extrememly awesome guitar !

  • Superb.

  • Ann was straight up hot back then

  • @fassman316 yes she was/is

  • Great performance, i like the vintage speaker stacks behind them & the guy that yelled Woooh at the end to get the applause started jus cracked me up :D

  • This still gives me goosebumps...

Never ever had I seen anything like this back in 1976!

    This rocked our lives!

I was a girl of 15 years old back then, and for the first time I saw ... women rocked!

Women could take the lead in a rock band; and rock while singing high and hard; and rock on the guitar, and hit a chord in anyone!

Thank you - Heart - for changing my life.

  • 3:29 3:29 3:29....it's all about 3:29! Hit it girl, hit it!

  • These guys were great in concert!

  • Holy shit, can she ever rock out on the guitar!

  • when her voice goes up, i got shivers, everytime lol

  • Ann Wilson is the best singer to ever live, Her vocal range has never been matched, by anyone. She can sing any damn thing and sound amazing.

  • @xd3vIoUsx that's not really true, plenty of female singers have/had equal vocal ranges to her, if not more. It's just the tone of each of their voices that are different. Still amazing though :)

  • @bonjour100 You are correct, I was just a little over excited hearing this. But she is still the best in my opinion. =)

  • Comment removed

  • man, Ann was so pretty back then

  • HAROLD AND KUMAR

  • were all here for the same reason ,

    WE enjoy the music.

comments on this place are just a reflection of the person.

Now that i am done venting about peoples miserable memories. I just wanted to say thats bad ass how she drops that pluck for a pick!

    thats fucking rock and roll.!

  • Comment removed

  • FUCK,N YEAHHH!!!!!!!

  • DAMN SING IT ANN NO ONE CAN EVEN MATCH UP TO UR FUCK ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME THEY DONT DESERVE U!! YOU ROCK!!!

  • @physcochikks2010

You say Britney Spears, I say Deep Purple

You say Ke$ha, I say Black Sabbath

You say Black eyed peas, I say Eric Clapton

i could hold on this for hours^ ^

  • @Domenique1984 - You say Ann Wilson....I do too!

    But, I add in Benatar!

  • @physcochikks2010 with the exception of Aerosmith I tend to agree.

However, you should be shot for leaving out Metallica. just sayin.

  • @physcochikks2010 That is one of the least "Rock'n'roll" comments I have ever seen. Let me elaborate on that. You say teens listen to the same formulaic pop, yet you want people to COPY your comment. Hm?

  • @physcochikks2010 All of those bands you mentioned have made (in large or small amounts) "formulaic, crappy pop". They've all made stuff I appreciate, so I'm not knocking them. It's just that when you get obsessed with what you call things, you miss a lot of interesting things that are happening in the present. Why would anyone forget rock and roll? Why would it matter if they did?

  • @physcochikks2010 PLease never put Queen in the same sentence as the Jonas Brothers.

  • Comment removed

  • @physcochikks2010 rock never dies....we have been there for 50 years and survived disco, real pop, break dance,punk,techno,....so we will survive the shit of today

  • @physcochikks2010 U say bieber i say SHUT THE FUCK UP AND ENJOY THE MUSIC

  • @physcochikks2010 i dont like any of the bands that you listed but queen. everyone is entitled to their own taste in music. i bet parents of teenagers that listened to rock thought it was horrible aswell. either way you cant really tell other people what they should like...

  • MagicTouch, is Nancy playing a Takamine there too or a Martin?

  • @TonyLNMR2 I think itsd an Ovation. They were popular then.

  • It gives me goose bumps too! Wow..what an awesome acoustic intros! Nancy can play the hell out of any acoustic!

  • Ann Wilson has never gotten the credit she deserves as one of the best rock guitar composers of our time..what a shame..if you doubt just replay that intro a few times...I've been playing for 40 years and that was perfection!

  • @magictouch822

that was nancy...and she has gotten plenty of well deserved recognition...google "best female guitarist" lists...she's always in the top ten...often in the top five...and a couple of times i've seen her as high as three...personally...I think she's the best....

  • @bospqr Nonsense. It's not like there have ever been much female guitar players, so big deal. She's just fair, only gets noticed because she was hot. Roger Fisher is the guy who put the guitar sound in Heart. He and Ann's singing were the thing. Nancy was just another piece, nothing huge like Fisher.

  • @SuperDrJeckyl I was responding to a comment somebody made saying that nancy wilson was underrated as a guitarist...and I said that I had seen "best female guitarist" lists that rated her highly...and it's true...I have seen them...and she is rated highly. Likes and dislikes are subjective...I see your point, but as for me, if nancy was gone...there would be no "Heart"...whereas Heart survived and thrived after roger fisher left...even though he was part of Heart before nancy was...

  • @RocknRollSweetHeart1 plus hardly any of the new music has the hole band thing its just someone singing into a mic but with the good old rock you had to make the music

  • if ur communist I'll find u,no shit

  • @Syzygy60

Go die in a fire ;)

  • @RocknRollSweetHeart1 there are still very talented singers look at simone simons from epica nothing beats classicly trained vocalists

  • search and watch: Heart - Magic Man - No drum solo

  • @RocknRollSweetHeart1 couldnt agree more

  • Ahhh yes, I can smell them now. Musk and Herbal Essence. Maybe a little bit of patchouli?

  • @Criticalizzy yeah you're right...herbal essence...i remember my girlfriend back in those days used that...and patchouli too...god when did i get so old??

  • it just looked like Ann & Nancy were about to do the "Mexican Hat Dance" of course thats the style of the beginning strumming part with a touch of Jazz...

    A Masterpiece. Heart Rocks!!!

  • @RocknRollSweetHeart1 because everything today IS FAKE...

  • this whole song gives me goosebumps. i wish i was in the seventies. seemed like the best time.

  • I remember these days. Now ann is 60

  • I looove the guitar rift

  • in the words of Nancy Wilson "Ann's voice... it's just a freak of nature" haha love it

  • she cant play shit just got lessons from roger then kicked him out when he was getting too much attention for outstsanding guitar playing, too hard rock they said.

  • @huntersingle Hi Roger....lol

  • Anne Wilson is so HOT!!! LOVE THIS VIDEO!! THANKS SO MUCH!!

  • There is NOTHING LIKE 4:56!!!

  • ::::sigh::::: That was when Ann used to be SO GOOD looking.....

  • @VirenKickedPresAss == She still hot, more to love!

  • @amusingmyslf Now, don't get me wrong- I would STILL allow her to suck on my penis. I bet the back of her neck looks like a pack of weinies...

  • @VirenKickedPresAss =Now, at this point I could go on a rant or degrade your manhood( too easy) but really, grow up. I pity you.

  • @amusingmyslf Go check out the videos where her "front ass" hangs over her belt....

  • @VirenKickedPresAss == Na, I'm having too much fun checking out your "front Ass" --I mean , your posts, Or whatever that shit is pouring out of your front ass--oh, I mean your mouth.

  • watching this on 2011!! hell yeahh

  • ann and nancy may will never die!

  • 3:02 GIVES ME GOOSE BUMPS!

  • @1971SuperLead

Me too! Watching it over and over...

  • @piratsnygg, Ann just belts it out right there. The best scream ever.

  • @1971SuperLead Shit. I read this comment, made a mental note to check what part of the song that was, forgot about it, and I got goosebumps when 3:02 came. Amazing how that works...

  • @OfficerMike07 Thanks forbringing me back to this video. Ya, that scream at 3:02 could scare the devil back into his cave. It's so powerful and effortless and she even adds tasteful tremelo to it. Just mind blowing.

  • damn was she hott

  • Hot guitar, killer vocals, even an acoustic guitar played like some proverbial guitar god... This is Too good!

  • Nancy's hand is a blur. Wow.

  • i love ann's facial expressions :) she is so hot

  • Amen to all of the accolades for Ann Wilson!!!! God, just so damned great!

  • And Ann was fucking hotter rofl.

  • I do not give a FUCK what anyone says, Nancy was soooo fucking HOT.

  • 1976 was indeed a great year!

  • @GianniMorelli90 Hey, I heard that on the radio, where is it going to be?

  • <3 this song

  • Talk about two beautiful and talented girls.

  • im so soked to see them play with def leppard on the 16th. cant wait. born in 1990 and i know what good music is.

  • trivia: Ann Wilson's father was the Commandant of the Marine Corps - General Wilson.

  • the best female voice in rock!

  • sick intro.

  • Clear and Powerful, NO ONE can sing like this? Bonnie Tyler, chic from Jefferson Airplane, Amy Lee, Joan Jett, and most notably Pat Benatar = watch?v=jP0SnhtXVfk

  • @SexJunkle the chick from jefferson airplane was racy grace slick but you missed janis joplin

  • Great singing and guitar playing...what more can you ask for?

  • that walk at 55 seconds...

  • seeing them tomorrow at PNC arts center with def leppard.... psyched!!!!

  • I went to see these ladies and John Cougar at Castle Farms in Michigan YEARS ago.

WAS, by far, the best concert i have ever been to. Will never forget it!

  • Wow, their plastic surgeon did a great job. Amazing, Amazing voice.

  • All my love... to Heart!

  • OMG, sex on stage....does it get any better girl!

  • Thumbs up if Nancy looks like your mom from the 80's :)

  • Comment removed

  • @toastandjam1967 two words-Kate Pierson.

  • If this doesn't get your blood flowing then you must be dead!

  • These two girls showed us incredible music, elevated rock to a new level

  • Ann doing her Robert Plant impression at 1:00?

  • She drops the thumb pick at 0:53 and picks up her guitar pick. Perfect timing too.

  • @Andytheminstrel

    1. its a HE ;)

    2. he threw it away on purpose since he was going to play differently...the first one is more suited for that intro...a normal pick more suited for the rest

  • @DmasterX69 looking at another video i notice that its really a SHE.....wow!

  • @DmasterX69 Are you trying to be funny? That is Nancy Wilson. SHE is the guitarist for Heart. I know why she dropped the thumb pick, I don't need you to explain it to me. Hence why I said "Perfect timing too".

  • FUCKEN GOD THESE GIRLS ROCK!!!

  • crazy fun to play this on guitar

  • damn i love this stuff

    not the outfits though

  • music ended in 1980.

  • The singer is hot. When she gets into the vibe there is nothing, NOTHING sexier,

  • nancy is the black hair, ann is red? or... i dont get it

  • What female vocalist can match the 70's Wilson? Seriously...anyone? I have yet to hear a more powerful rock female voice.

  • @alphazoom .... I TOTALLY agree with you! Not before, and not since!! She stands alone.

  • @alphazoom Ann Wilson is an absolute legend. I know a band of two sisters though not American that got the pipes. I'm not a fan of their songs but a big fan of their vocal power. They also do some Heart covers. youtube.com/watch?v=Y-65r2fn4Ts&feature

  • @alphazoom They are known as Aegis. Try youtube search Y-65r2fn4Ts.

  • @alphazoom Check out the Decemberists cover of this song. It's overall weaker, but I think the guest spot from Shara Worden on lead vocals matches up.

  • @Crumplepunch It's really really bad.

  • @Zzulu1one9niner I did say it was weaker, but I maintain that Shara Worden is spot on with lead vocals. It's just a pity about the supporting vocals and guitar.

  • @alphazoom Other than the other women of the 70's and very early 80's, no one... We all know Stevie Nicks and Pat Benatar held their own quite well, too!

  • @fred1671 Yes....Stevie and Pat both had great success....in fact more so than Heart at the time.....but If I was going on voice alone...I'd chose Ann over those 2 in raw talent. As far as song writers go...Stevie and Pat have many more songs I like than Heart..... I really only liked the 70's Heart...no so much the 80's Heart. If I wanna hear Heart...I do to the old stuff. Kinda like Kiss, lol.

  • @alphazoom Yeah, I hear ya... Pat and Stevie were (are) phenomenal song writers! And, yes, Ann Wilson has some of the strongest vocal of any woman to every appear on stage - the 70's right through to the present!

It's rather sad, too... I mean, where the hell are all the great (male or female) artists these days? Music really went to shit after the 80's (and real early 90's).

  • @alphazoom Pat Benatar maybe? There aren't too many that's for sure.

  • @alphazoom Janis Joplin?

  • @alphazoom Alana Miles, Suzie Quatro ?

  • I'm uncomfortable with the bass player's choice of shirt.

  • SEEING THESE GUYS W/ DEF LEPPARD AT SUMMERFEST MARCUS AMPITHEATRE NEXT WEEK CANT WAIT... SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!

  • I was in the Army stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado when I discovered Heart. I still go back there whenever I hear them sing. Still think that Ann has the sexiest voice I have ever heard.

  • they re the best!!!!

the best introdution ever in the rock musics!!!!

    remarkable!!!!
