The last time I heard and saw this song video was in the Summer of 1996. Do I think a reunion would take place? Well Lennon,McCartney while he was taking a brief break from Wings,Harrison, and Starr came closest to a brief temporary Beatles reunion live tour in the Spring of 1977.
3:13 - beautiful scene! It makes me smile and cry at the same time. From one side, there is a joy, because they are together, from the other side there is a sorrow, because John is not here... It's just very moving.
@toastichedu I think so....i'm pretty sure they all missed each other. i mean they all helped each other on their solo albums. And also they played Beatles songs on tour. I think in an interview John Lennon said he would love to reunite and tour again with the guys.
i wa only a kid when the beatles were big and then broke up , i didnt know that 40 years later having loved every kind of music along the way, i would re-discover the superb works of these four mpost incredible guys who really did change the world and then in the 90;s these two great songs by the remaining three,, R.I.P. John, R.I.P. George, you are forever in our hearts,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
when the Beatles broke up I was 7,,,it hurt,,,(it wasn't a good break-up),,when I heard of the free as a bird/real love project it brought back some kind of hope,,& when I heard the song Real Love I knew it was for a reason. I'm pretty sure John is proud of the way this song turned out & wish politicians & greedmongers would realize this world has to learn to live togethor (equality) or die together,,,(still equality) I would rather live together & die at my own pace,,,
the is what you call real music, not like the shit today all about drugs and sex, sure some of these older songs might have "Mentioned" it they gave it hidden meanings, why cant today artists just GET BACK to the roots of good ol' rock and roll not this crap auto tuned techno pop rap shit
That the surviving Beatles then got Jeff Lynne to work these recordings is in no small part due to the fact that John Lennon said that Lynne's ELO was what the Beatles would've sounded like, were they to reunite.
The Beatles were a force of Nature. They showed us that with enough love, you can do just about anything. There are hidden messages and meanings in many of their songs. To find out what they are, search "Truth Contest" in Google and click the 1st result, then open The Present and read the section about The Beatles.
@kmc56 Of course it's better than Free as a bird (which is still good tho) but if you were in the beatles wouldn't you want the better song of the two to be released as the final song ever? I know I would!
This song made me happy and sad at the same time-- it showed the good times the four of them had, but it also reminded me that John was gone by the time the other three Beatles continued the recording, and then 6 years later, George passed away as well. :(
@beemanjo It was written in 1979. It was supposed to be released in 1980/81, but then he was killed by Mark Chapman. Then the rest of the Beatles pick this song along with Free As A Bird, to be stored with the Beatles Anthology, and was released in 1995 as a tribute to John Lennon.
@beemanjo it was written by the 70's by john lennon and he actually made a demo but he could never record this song because he died but then in the 90's the 3 of the other Beatles, took this song and played again this new version remastered and remixed.
Four lads that we all would love to call friends. The closest we could get was by playing their albums. Never met one Beatle in my lifetime yet I love these guys. Their music connects us all. Its Real Love.
It is now the time to start listening to the Beatles’ music with new ears. Not for entertainment; this time listen just for its spiritual value. Go to TruthContest(dot)com, open The Present, and read the section about The Beatles. If you love the Beatles, definitely check this out.

Rest assured, if he killed someone in your family, or mine, he would have been out of jail by now, and the rest of the world wouldn't have cared!

the beatles came together for the last time and made this song a human consumption world wide hit - the song should never have been born - but it was!
I was 14 in 1963 and it is very sweet to see that the generations since truly still hear and appreciate what real music was. The Beatles were a magical moment in time and they transformed what was really teenage rock that had little respect as a musical genre into the most prolific and versatile musical act of all time. They were all brilliant individually but together they were far greater than the sum of the parts...This song "Real Love" is such a gift to hear as a "new" song. They live 4ever!
@elevatordudedave97 Hi I know this is what Ihatestackergames305 did but I got a question? Why did you block me when I just asked you to remove a bad comment by MW2TheFreak1? And I don't want that guys parents to see that comment or else they will think he/she is being attacked big time. If you just look up his name on google it will take you right to that comment! See why its bad?
George Harrison was the most brilliant writer. Fewer songs, higher percentage of gems. John was no slouch, nor was McCartney. How lucky the world was these 3 giants got together and graced us with their stuff.
@cuttock I respect you, and i love George Harrison too. I think George was capable of writing greater songs than John and Paul, because he always was alone, Paul and John were together, and they were the best, but George merit lay in know how to stand alone and create his own identity inside the band, he was the youngest after all.
@cuttock John Lennon was the genius who created The Beatles, then he met a highly-gifted songwriter called Paul McCartney, and Paul brought a guy called George, that was the history. So: Lennon 1, Paul 2, and George 3 that'st the end of history.
@cuttock Lennon owns! Imagine, Give Peace A Chance, War Is Over, All You Need is Love, and Working Class Hero. George and Paul wrote great songs but not even one comes close to having the legacy or political and emotional influence that those songs had. Lennon's songs made you think.
@DavidCastoe and @cuttock there were all amazing. there all had strong points there were all the best still are. nobody was better than the other. my personal favourite is johnbut that's because i first fell in love when i heard i am the walrus. and his voice is just so impacting sends shivers down your spine and fills your head full o red pixies
This music video is so epic! This one is alot better than the one that was later used. I get shivers down my spine at the end when there's loads of bits going fast. The beatles are just so awesome.
I love the bit where Paul and George are like high hiving and john comes along with a look on his face liek 'um. what are you doing?' lol
John was super harsh with George Harrison when young George taught him how to play guitar properly. John had Brian Epstein in tears regularly. He screamed at Ringo Starr like he was takiing breaths. John snickered at Paul and flicked lit cigarettes at him during shows. However, after dosing himself with thousands of hits of acid, he repented. He was after all a good Christian.
So many songs we will always miss with John Lennon's death. How would the world would be if he still be alive??? Why couldn't that stupid Chapman guy just let him live.
Love when John dances by the pool eh eh Hilarious 1:12
I love this song, its a bittersweet felling, it´s really sad if you see how things developed, how fast john passed away, and now today without george it turns even more sad.
On the other hand, the song has some happy felling but in a nostalgic way
I heard the original version by John lennon and then i heard this version. The difference is amazing. Alone a beatle is great but together they form the greatest rock group of all time
Kids, The Fab Four and Nirvana were great! Maybe, and as a suggestion, you should spen bad words talking about plastic people like Spears, Gaga...I Have said.
Yes i agree George Harrison is very very underrated just check out You like me too much you can see why at the Beatlemania he was relegated abd listen i need you same album (help) he also was a genius and this is one of Beatles underrated songs
The point is, you're an idiot. You act like the beatles didnt take drugs too. Also, How did he fail as being a man? You'll never be half the man he was. And for your information, Nirvana have 9 albums and the highest selling box set ever.
Kurt Failbain? good one. Must have took a week to create it. A little Mama's boy? You do know he was near his parents at all? he hated them both. He couldnt handle it? Oh well. Its too bad. He's still a man tho. He still had a penis you know. You must know what it is, you seems to have one in your ass atm.
He was the kind of junky who 'couldn't handle his shit'. He awoke one relatively sober day and realized who he was sleeping with and married to and grabbed the 12-guage.
@Nacho66 I agree, I mean the man had talent. The only reason Nirvana and Kurt are known as a "great band" is due to his death. Honestly if he'd of never shot himself, they'd be just another band. A good band, but no Beatles, and he'd never of been another John Lennon. There's only one John Lennon.
Any comparisons to Lennon always end in disappointment for the one comparing.
That said, like it or not, Kurt Nobrain was their generation's Lennon. I was born in
'66 - which means I'm an in between generation. Like the original R&R kids of the '50's, my generation of the '80s weren't Baby Boomers or the next big lump of kids after in the '90's.
Like Lennon (not a baby-boomer) he was only 4 months younger than me (I'm 43).
Same with Lennon - he was about 8 months younger than my Mom(1939)
Unlike Lennon, Kurt was a whiner. A baby. Lennon would've kicked his ass for being such a whining pussy.
Nirvana had a VERY limited body of work without much variety in sound. Just think about the body of work and musical diversity of styles the Beatles accomplished just between 1964 and 1966! 'Nough said right there.
yeah, and the beatles pushed the boundaries by themselves, while kurt feared alienating the fans and labels, he wasn't even sure to release about a girl (which kinda sounds beatles influenced) because of it#s sound.
but i think he could have made more in the future, we will never know.
@Bellocks1 george was the best,he my fav beatle, something ,its all too much ,only northun song ,need you ,here comes the sun , taxmanwhile my guitar gently weeps ,
every guitar solo he did was amazin
after the beatles the travaling wilburys ,handle with care
@OropherThranduil wow i thought u had done the decent thing an killed yourself,so your back for more abuse,so be it,for sum1 smart u chat alot of shit.have u seen the vids of Ali meeting the beatles, there here on utube, its abit awkward but cool to see them together, check it out.keep practising those 1 finger push ups mong.
@OropherThranduil oh shit i thought we were talking about the monkeys, they were a much better band who infulenced modern music,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,now u know how it feels .strawberry fields or penny lane probably.
nono, my view on bruce didn't change, but it's senseless arguing, you will never accept my point and i will never accept your point.
and the monkees were better than any other casted band simly because they started as casted guys, but after 2 albums without them playing instruments, mickey dolenz placed a fist in the wall of their producer which allowed them to write and play on their album, that takes them over any other band who was created like this.
nowhere near great bands like the beatles, the who, the stones, led zeppelin or the like, but above the average pop shit, and their later albums from the 3rd onward are quite good listens of you're into 60s pop/psychedelia, headquarters, Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd.and head being their best.
i meant from the 2 anthology singles, which one do you prefer?
@OropherThranduil Damn right. And he is underrated as a drummer, but not by his peers, those who know what the hell they're talking about. None other than Ginger Baker of Cream credited Ringo for taking chances and doing things that other drummers up to that time didn't take.
This song proves The Beatles could have continued making records as a foursome until the day they all died-the chemistry and talent when all four of them are together is a force that could never die.
The last time I heard and saw this song video was in the Summer of 1996. Do I think a reunion would take place? Well Lennon,McCartney while he was taking a brief break from Wings,Harrison, and Starr came closest to a brief temporary Beatles reunion live tour in the Spring of 1977.

I heard the original version by John lennon and then i heard this version. The difference is amazing. Alone a beatle is great but together they form the greatest rock group of all time
perurocks914 1 year ago 46
@perurocks914 you cant compare a piano version to a finished version.

This is so neat !! Love the way the pianos float around in the sky.

Is this song a Masterpiece?
Long live The Beatles!
gosiman 1 year ago
Cynical as I am, I love this song and vid. I adore The Beatles; anyone think Lennon looks a bit Trent Reznor-ish in a couple of the still?
controlfunction 1 year ago
Question... why is there a version of this without George's slow-mo head shot (like at 2:53 of this video)? Was it re-edited after his death?

Kurt's gone and he's not coming back, accept that.
Jcahalane 1 year ago
@Jcahalane
So? Whats your point?
franknirvana 1 year ago
The point is, is that Kurt Cobain was a whiny little shit. Yes, he had talent but was a useless junky. Like his Skankwife.
He failed at being a man, father, and everything else. 2 or 3 albums does not a career make.
Fail...
Now you know.
Nacho66 1 year ago
The point is, you're an idiot. You act like the beatles didnt take drugs too. Also, How did he fail as being a man? You'll never be half the man he was. And for your information, Nirvana have 9 albums and the highest selling box set ever.
Fail....
Now you know.
franknirvana 1 year ago
Except the Beatles were MEN. They could handle it and Kurt Failbain was a little momma's boy who liked to wear Courtney Hole's dresses (true).
Nacho66 1 year ago
Kurt Failbain? good one. Must have took a week to create it. A little Mama's boy? You do know he was near his parents at all? he hated them both. He couldnt handle it? Oh well. Its too bad. He's still a man tho. He still had a penis you know. You must know what it is, you seems to have one in your ass atm.
franknirvana 1 year ago
Who give's rat-fuck?
He was the kind of junky who 'couldn't handle his shit'. He awoke one relatively sober day and realized who he was sleeping with and married to and grabbed the 12-guage.
Can't say as I blame him much there actually...
Nacho66 1 year ago
@Nacho66 I agree, I mean the man had talent. The only reason Nirvana and Kurt are known as a "great band" is due to his death. Honestly if he'd of never shot himself, they'd be just another band. A good band, but no Beatles, and he'd never of been another John Lennon. There's only one John Lennon.
Sambarre 1 year ago
Any comparisons to Lennon always end in disappointment for the one comparing.
That said, like it or not, Kurt Nobrain was their generation's Lennon. I was born in
'66 - which means I'm an in between generation. Like the original R&R kids of the '50's, my generation of the '80s weren't Baby Boomers or the next big lump of kids after in the '90's.
Like Lennon (not a baby-boomer) he was only 4 months younger than me (I'm 43).
Same with Lennon - he was about 8 months younger than my Mom(1939)
Nacho66 1 year ago 2
Unlike Lennon, Kurt was a whiner. A baby. Lennon would've kicked his ass for being such a whining pussy.
Nirvana had a VERY limited body of work without much variety in sound. Just think about the body of work and musical diversity of styles the Beatles accomplished just between 1964 and 1966! 'Nough said right there.
Nacho66 1 year ago 5
yeah, and the beatles pushed the boundaries by themselves, while kurt feared alienating the fans and labels, he wasn't even sure to release about a girl (which kinda sounds beatles influenced) because of it#s sound.
but i think he could have made more in the future, we will never know.

cool, by the way, which song do you prefer?
Free like a Bird or Real Love?
i always prefered the frist one, i love George's slide solo and overall the tone of the song is better ImO.
OropherThranduil 1 year ago
@OropherThranduil oh shit i thought we were talking about the monkeys, they were a much better band who infulenced modern music,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,now u know how it feels .strawberry fields or penny lane probably.
MrStraight2hell 1 year ago
@MrStraight2hell
nono, my view on bruce didn't change, but it's senseless arguing, you will never accept my point and i will never accept your point.
and the monkees were better than any other casted band simly because they started as casted guys, but after 2 albums without them playing instruments, mickey dolenz placed a fist in the wall of their producer which allowed them to write and play on their album, that takes them over any other band who was created like this.
OropherThranduil 1 year ago
@MrStraight2hell
nowhere near great bands like the beatles, the who, the stones, led zeppelin or the like, but above the average pop shit, and their later albums from the 3rd onward are quite good listens of you're into 60s pop/psychedelia, headquarters, Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd.and head being their best.
i meant from the 2 anthology singles, which one do you prefer?
OropherThranduil 1 year ago
@OropherThranduil Damn right. And he is underrated as a drummer, but not by his peers, those who know what the hell they're talking about. None other than Ginger Baker of Cream credited Ringo for taking chances and doing things that other drummers up to that time didn't take.

@Bellocks1 Oh well, I don't know about that.....he's rated rather highly where I come from.

This song proves The Beatles could have continued making records as a foursome until the day they all died-the chemistry and talent when all four of them are together is a force that could never die.
