No one is interested in seeing WSSU Showcases when they were in the CIAA. If so, they would have already posted them. Futhermore, VSU Woo-Woo's have always captured the CIAA during the CIAA Tournaments. And as far as people coming to see the games at the tournament. Actually, they ONLY CAME TO SEE THE WORLD RENOWED WOO-WOO'S BECAUSE OF THEIR STYLE, CLASS and SEXY APPEAL. Trust me when I say no other squad whether in MEAC, SIAC, SWAC can touched them at all!!!

For those who know about cheerleading, you will know what it means when I say "singing". Reed3625, I understand what you are saying. I too am from the south and have mainly cheered on white competetive squads BUT also was a part of an ALL BLACK squad for two years. I understand about giving the crowd something to enjoy but at the same time we have to be able to do more than this if that's the case. When a lot- not all- HBCUs go to other areas of cheerleading they bomb. This just doesn't cut it.

Heavenleigh0908, I grew up in an urban school setting, but we did not cheer like this. I'm from the south were cheerleading has really become a sport in the white schools, and when the black cheerleaders try to imitate the same cheer style the crowd does not get into it as much. The whole point of cheerleading for a school is that you get the crowd to cheer for the TEAM not just the cheerleaders and that may mean incorporating what the crowd wants and what you as the coach/cheerleader likes.
This just isn't cheerleading... where are the stunts, jumps, tumbliing, REAL motions, and REAL words? You can't "cheer" a song and call it a cheer... horrible.

Football.. Yes But not the cheerleaders. If WSSU's crowd would have been quiet and not been so one-sided they might have seen that NCAT is better than people think. As an Alumnus of WSSU, I'm so happy to see the Band coming back with a BANG! The I-40 Show Down, ended up being a no show for A&T. WSSU's Football, Band and Cheerleader's all did their thing! You have to give props where they're due, REGARDLESS!

A&T is a great squad and has made wonderful changes to their programs. WSSU can and do stunt! So lets not through the "Stunting" factor card out. The advantage A&T has would be they have a larger number or tumblers, I will give them that...but that is all I can see.

You are so right I wouldn't be saying this if it was VSU. Because, the VSU Woo-Woo's would have never scooped to this level of a cheer battle. They are very good at their 8 counts and I haven't seen a squad yet that can actually touch them. Dr. Johnson wouldn't put up with this type of behavior and I am ashamed that these other two coaches from their teams allowed this to even take place. For those who know about cheerleading, you will know what it means when I say "singing". Reed3625, I understand what you are saying. I too am from the south and have mainly cheered on white competetive squads BUT also was a part of an ALL BLACK squad for two years. I understand about giving the crowd something to enjoy but at the same time we have to be able to do more than this if that's the case. When a lot- not all- HBCUs go to other areas of cheerleading they bomb. This just doesn't cut it.

Heavenleigh0908, I grew up in an urban school setting, but we did not cheer like this. I'm from the south were cheerleading has really become a sport in the white schools, and when the black cheerleaders try to imitate the same cheer style the crowd does not get into it as much. The whole point of cheerleading for a school is that you get the crowd to cheer for the TEAM not just the cheerleaders and that may mean incorporating what the crowd wants and what you as the coach/cheerleader likes.

They might be the Champs, but they certainly looked like CHUMPS in this "battle", competition is only element of cheerleading they're better at than SU's girl, they got them on sideline cheering, dances, crowd participation, looks,reputation,etc everything....We're HBCU's not PWC, competition ISN'T everything, plese don't forget that! The MEAC tourney will be in Winston the next 3 years, I expect SU to BRING it hard too in there own backyard!

A&T is a great squad and has made wonderful changes to their programs. WSSU can and do stunt! So lets not through the "Stunting" factor card out. The advantage A&T has would be they have a larger number or tumblers, I will give them that...but that is all I can see.
