The reason they probably paired them together is because Scott was supposed to do a duet with Billy Joel, but Billy Joel cancelled...so they put Scott into a duet with another finalist who could play the piano.

There were plenty of people better than Matt, in other seasons and the season he was in. He didn't win because he just wasn't "good enough" as what everyone says. Now he just stays in my hometown and plays at bars. And don't have to be rude, I don't care if you like Matt, doesn't make me lose sleep at night.

But I agree, Matt is talented, but made it as far as he could, like Scott made it as far as he could [ i wish i could play the piano like that!]...I liked Kris Allen, so I have nothing sour to say about him...the past couple of years of Idol haven't been that great, in my opinion. I miss all the amazing talent where you couldn't pick who really was gonna win!

As a huge Billy Joel fan, i was expecting to hate this, like i did with Clay Aiken's version. However, i will say i was pleasently supprised. They embelished far to much on the vocals, but it was pretty good. Especialy the epic piano dueling.
