From one AMV Maker to another, I was going to give you my thoughts on how many effects you used. However, after reading your description in its entirety (something most of my fans dont take the time to do), I see you are already aware of this. I will say that you timing is excellent and if you were to translate some of effects into cuts for the beats, it would up the level of production quality by a good margin. Good work and keep working to set the bar higher for AMV makers everywhere.

how did u do that pulse with rukia at 0:53? if u know any tutorials about how to do some of the effects u used, that would be great. thanks.

The pulse effect was created manually using two layers. I copied the same clip onto two tracks. The top track was dropped in opacity, then resized/zoomed using manual tracking. Most of the "pulse" effects were created in a similar manner. I did not use any tutorials, play around with preset effects and transistions and layer masking. You can try checking out the website for whoever produces the video editor you use, they are likely to have forums or tutorials.

Decoy's ones are good but not as AMV's. They have a lot of effects and so they work as very good video edits. This video actually runs like an AMV because it tries to tell a story. Decoy's just use effects to create really good looking AMV's.
