"That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me." (John 17:9-21)
Terrific video, Sister. Thank you for taking the time to do this!
I'm reading The Mystical City of God right now, which is worth picking up if you haven't yet. Written by a divine mystic, Mary's life was revealed to her. It helps me to understand Mary as a person and grow to love her even more.
I find pleasure in it, as do over a billion other people. If you don't, start asking 'Why?' and I or anyone else here would be happy to try and help you. At the very least stay quiet about it.
You post all over Catholic videos to spread your beloved Atheism.
If Catholicism brings us life and enjoyment, but you have not yet experienced it, why do you try and take it away from us? If you had never tasted ice cream--would you begin such a campaign against people who eat it? What difference does it make to you as an Atheist anyway? If I am a Catholic, you should be indifferent.
We use all sorts of interpretive keys in every relationship. It's not "picking and choosing": it's knowing what the person meant. If I tell my precious little niece "You're so cute, I could eat you up!" Should she run away, fearing cannibalism? The relationship itself dictates the way to interpret what is said. Same goes for the Bible, but if you do not have a relationship with Jesus, how on earth can you expect to understand the way he communicates?
The Church has interpreted Ezekiel 44:2 as referring to the Virgin Mary. The Lord "entered" the world through her, as if through a gate. Because of the Glory of the Lord, no one else would ever pass through that gate. Ditto for the closed garden and sealed fountain of the Song of Songs: prophecy about Mary's virginity. At least, that's been the understanding for 2,000 years.
Seek a theologian to verify. In the original (greek) translation, it's the wording:
No word for 'cousin' or 'uncle.'
Therefore, it is the translation.
We are 'brothers and sisters' in Christ. We must then, unite to fight against the enemy, Satan. We share the same Faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, yet have different Beliefs, which separate us.
Surprising that you don't mention St. de Montfort's True Devotion to Mary. Also a great great great great book: The World's First Love, by Fulton Sheen.
Hail Holy Queen by Scott Hahn is also a good one.

Luke: 19:27
But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay [them] before me.
Is not loving Jesus advocating and inciting cold blooded murder and killing?
How can a loving god condone the slaughter of innocent men, women and children?
Should the faithful pick and choose parts of the bible?

I love Archbishop Fulton Sheen. I want to read more by him. I haven't read 'The World's First Love.' I will need to get it.
Such a wise man. We needed him for our times.

The first words are under the music, but if you stay with it, it is quite clear. Or you can try adjusting the little speaker icon under the screen!
