  • @fartzzzzzzzz ok.

  • everything about this song, The vocals, the lyrics, those final screams, and especially the ending....... it's all just so perfect.

  • When you first heard the ending of this song, you cried. Admit it.

  • @davethehostage i'll admit it..

  • 1:51-2:14 best screams of all time.

  • On the contrary, I think the best scream of all time would be by At The Drive In(song :Invalid jitter Dept.) from the album Relationship of command at approx. 5:28.........hahha..but thats just me! Jane Doe is classic(no doubt!)

  • I don't hear him say "just" in the dying to be saved part.

  • _vime_.com_/21265833

  • out of the rising seas of blood

  • RUN ON

  • The last screams are the most emotional, best vocals ever recorded in music history.

  • Lost in you like Saturday nights,

Searching the streets with bedroom eyes..

  • Best album ending.

  • Yeah I couldnt have imagined id see Converge play this live. When J. Bannon said they were gonna do one more, and it was one they dont bust out too often, everyone started screaming song titles. And then he said they were gonna play this song, my heart sank and I prepared for fucking war.

  • Saw this song performed live in a crowded room with about 200 people or less. Definitely one of the best musical experiences of my life.

  • So never did I ever expect to share "this" type of song on a youtube video, but I think this group of people would enjoy it the way i did. Latnemurtsni by Catherine. They're not quite my norm, but damn does that song have heart. (expect more of an acoustic songs, not normal metal).

  • dude the ending is fuckin beautiful, jesus christ

  • The best ending of a song in music-history!

  • if i were to ever go out with a bang. im going out with the last 1:45 minutes of this song fuckin jammin.

  • they're soo sick

  • converge invented the word epicness

  • Run on Girl, run on.

  • 0:12 is the best thing in the album

  • That list was a joke

  • Saw a list for "Top100 Albums of Decade"... Jane Doe got #1. Fuck yea.

  • @MyNutsAreCold not a single mastodon album made me sad.

  • THIS is how you end an album!

  • The "Run" part gives me goosebumps...

    Best album ever.

  • god my panties are wet!!!

  • It's good that you didn't cut this song short, like some others do when they share a song on Youtube...>:(

  • for me it's not a song if you chop of half of it and try to pass it off as the whole song..it diminishes the epicness of this song D: but cuzz of youtubes 10 min rule i just had to split it up...but still both parts are up for anyone and everyone to enjoy ^^

  • Well if you watch both parts and listen to it all, like I did, and listen to the un-cut audio original, this is pretty much the same length. This is what I meant in that you didn't cut this song short.

  • @Gorglazon You can now reupload the song fully in one run, if you wish to do that.

  • @human1212

Man fully feel you. When I first listened to it ,no shit, hearing this part with that amazing guitar lick I just broke down like fully broke down into a mess. This song is just one of the most emotive and beautiful compositions Ive ever heard in my life.

  • @human1212

The people who don't understand music are pussies.

    You most certainly aren't.

  • @human1212

    Queer

  • @human1212 you are

  • that screaming and hole ending .. is .. fuckin ..breathtaking..

  • this album art is beautiful

  • i know i've listened through this album maybe moar than a hundred times, but each time i listen to it

    i discover it again

  • THE best last 4 minutes of any song!

  • word.

    mindblowing

  • mindblowing indeed.

  • man who the fuck cries.

u gotta be headbanging ur ass off to this ending. its CRAZY!!!!!

  • you're looking at it on a surface level, the ending is the climax of the album and is BEAUTIFUL not heavy.

  • a perfect ending to a perfect album. i understand people tend to rag on converge because of bannon's animalesuqe howls and what not, but the legacy this band has made for itself will be felt in the hardcore/metal/whatever genre world forever. listening to jane doe from start to finish is truly a primal ritualistic experience packed with every negative emotion the human soul is capable of feeling. i cannot wait to get the jane doe logo tattooed on my arm, because for me this really is a perfectcd

  • There are no guitars, notes, drums etc. in Jacob's work.

It's all FEEL. NOTHING MORE. PURE FEEL. PURE EMOTION. I CRY SO HARD TO THIS THAT THE WORLD WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND THAT JACOB BANNON CREATED BEAUTY. I AM NOT ALONE SINCE HE CREATED IT.

  • shut the fuck up and stop putting the work of 4 on the shoulders of 1 like he's a god or something. get out of here.

  • If it gives you goosebumps or chills, you're doing it wrong.

You're supposed to be crying, and wishing Jacob wasn't your god for creating beauty.

  • Bannon changed music history forever.

He's NEXT TO such names like Beethoven, Mozart, Bach.

In the end of JANE DOE.

If you have a very emotive, prodigious nature, you will REALIZE that he shows you

    "the glimmer"

    and

    "beauty" itself.

I've spent the past 6 months CRYING to this CD.

  • Converge all together has changed history forever. Jacob Bannon is only one part of the band...yes they wouldn't be converge without him...but they couldn't be a band without the rest of them. they are all musically creative and are all on the same page together.

  • @azaleaXruins heh... well they've actually gone through at least one "classic" line up already.. so idk.. but the point i was trying to make is, jacob alone is not the end all, be all of this band..

  • I don't even remember what i said but yeah jacob bannon is amazing in my opinion but converge isn't him alone and i know they've had line up changes but still amazing, jane doe changed the world of hardcore i think.

  • liar. you werent crying in your cover video.

  • straight edge bullshit is what the x's are all about. fuck that. stay true.

  • vocalist sounds like the most pissed off chicken in the whole fucking world

  • I like them better when they aren't screaming.

  • run on girl.. run on..

  • This song still gives me goosebumps

  • I know everytime I listen to it. It's like oooooooh,

  • Man. Had the reaction of "NO! Don't end yet!" when the music slowly fades away.

Unbearably poignant. That is what this song is.

  • You said everything

  • this song is simply amazing.

  • the first riff is awesome ! i like their kind of melodic !

  • Goddamn....This is the best part of the song(where it starts here)....Lost in you like saturday nights ..searching the streets with bedroom eyes...

  • I always feel so sad when this song fades away...

    I don't know, I get some sort of end-of-the-world-feeling..

  • the desire to disappear...

    or

a Fast Forward Dia-Show of your Life

  • the thoughts while listening to it ..

    undescribable..

  • Is there someone who knows the lyrics of this part?

  • lost in you

    like saturday nights

    searching the streets

    with bedroom eyes

    dying to be saved

    run on girl, run on

  • This is one of the most amazing songs I've ever heard. I didn't think music could evoke these kinds of emotions. I never really listened to this band until just today. They are waaaaaay better then I thought they were at first. Every song I heard of theirs is retardedly awesome. Here I thought they sounded generic when a friend first played them for me. Far from it.

Lesson learned: give bands a few tries before you think you know what they're about.

  • One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.

It's amazing how something so harsh and vicious is so delicate

    -Celtic Mudkip-

  • this is so true.

  • oh i love how my roommate goes on my account and says this crap! sorry

  • This is the most amazing part of any song ever written. So, so amazing!

  • PERFECTION

  • thanks. your username is turbo karate laser puma and i'm the faggot? and that is just what i have read. so blow me.

  • yeah, i dont need x's to know i'm gay but apparently you do :)

  • shut up.

  • make me little faggot, the fact is i just owned you and you have nothing to say ;)

  • no because x's dont show any sexual preference you fucking half retard twat. straight edge is a life style choice, homo or hetero sexuality is a born genetic trait, so shut the fuck up you stupid fucking loser

  • Youtube Bashing has always been pathetic :)

  • nicely put

    but

have you ever thought this might not be true

"hetero sexuality is a born genetic trait"

I think , its like perfect excuse , oh thats not my choice so Im not responsible , whether its something to avoid or not , I think it could be a choice , if not conscious then sub-

  • were you refering to 'my' comment? hahaha it wasn't even me who said that, my friend was looking up converge videos and commented on this one. his views and mine are different.

    sorry.

  • a trendy little life style choice. why the fuck does someone need to draw x's on their hands as a confirmation of their beliefs? what, in the middle of the concert do they forget what they stand for? fucking stupid.

also, homo/hetero sexuality is most certainly not a born genetic trait you dumbass.

  • underage people at bars used to be marked with x's so they couldn't buy alcohol. not sure why it's cool to do that now.

  • I'm ashamed of you two, saying such stupidities listening to such beautiful song...

  • This song is just fucking incredible, beyond amazing, just one of the most heart wrenching songs ever. \m/

  • Probably my favourite part of any song ever!

  • jesus fucking christ this is the best part of the song.

  • also, galactinho, the part you're referring to, he's singing "run on, girl, run on"

  • i loved it. can somebody PLEASE explain the meaning of this song? "lost in you like saturday nights, searching the streets with beedrom eyes, dying to be saved"?

what does that mean? and at the end when his screaming .. is he screaming "run"?

    please answer

  • jacob has said in live settings that this song is about how he wanted to die every single day for 3 years straight.

  • xBillyTheKidx: That's pretty harsh, but it does explain how tortured this song sounds. Poor Jacob :(

  • it's harsh but that's just what i've read.

  • most emotional piece of music ive ever heard. seriously

  • agreed. i'm always in awe...

  • it's like Death/Doom but with Grindcore and Shoegaze style vocals, and like a melodic hardcore bordering Drone doom sense of epic musicality - i'm off to buy this now.

  • this is high art

  • this whole album was my hardcore anthem when i was in high school, brings back memories

  • jesus, those final screams make my hairs stand on end

  • what is the name of this song?

  • Jane doe :D i had to split song in 2 cuzz it's over 10 min -_-"

  • i like it

  • Awesome!
