great cover, i love this one, i love your playing, and you do a great job and look like you enjoy it alot, keep it up bro, and i love the song :) all the songs you done covers of that i seen so far are all songs that i grew up with and are my favorites
WO I'm only jocking, ur my favourite country teacher, please don't block me. I just thought the joke fits here! It was ur comment on a Tim mcgraw vid, there you go, a fan see. My Acoustic fender is holding up well, and as you hoped, yes I do love it! How about some classic Cash covers!
Because I have sold each and every one of those that I bought... so I finally took the hint and stayed with what I personally really like, which in my case is the Telecaster. I dig that Fender scale!
the not-using-a-pick part is what brought me here. Just as redrocker mentioned, it feels and sounds wrong.
Oh, yeah: you've got a new subscriber :)
(now I only need to find the will to spend money that I don't have to replace this piece of crap with "Fender" on it - written with a permanent marker about, I guess, 18 years ago...)
They slip out of my fingers. Plus I learned without one, so I don't even know how to hold one...lol
I've tried using one a few times but I end up tossing it cause it feels wrong and sounds horrible to me. I feel I have more control over the strings with just my fingers anyways!
Side note: I can't play Sharp Dressed Man with out a cowboy hat either...lol
its cool that u can do well with out pick, ever listend to brian may from queen he can solo and stuff even withouth using a pick its really quite amazing
Your a beast with a guitar! Ive been watchin all ur vids for bout 3 months now and u have taught me alot! That would be awsome if u could give us a lesson on this. U ROCK!
I'm pretty sure I can afford a pick or two.. more to the point, I can't play with one. The darn thing keeps gettin' in the way, you know? Plus, the good Lord gave me fingers, with nails on them and all ;)
Maybe someday we will get a slide lesson ? like I don't know some Death letters ? from son house ? no ? Aller s il te plais un petit blues au slide ^^
wow. i liked. lol man it's so frustrating finding a good teacher on youtube. i mean just looking for a good one makes you kinda less enthusiastic about playing but you've thought me about 5 songs in just a week so far...tx you're an extremely talented teacher. maybe you already do, but you should seriously consider teaching as a professional teacher.
You made my day :) I am so happy I was able to help. I don't teach any where else than here. I wish I had more time, but I have a full time job, so this is as much time as I can spare.
Please publish a vid! I'd love to see how you play it... this was a single take, pretty much the first time I had played the song in what feels like a lifetime...

Or you could have simply said "Because I have a Crook!" ... which should be the conversation-stopper.
You don't have to answer these guys, man.
