  • Wow, I want to shoot a whole wolf pack so that their heads pop and then anally rape their bodies.

  • @workatthefarm so do that often? with dogs?

  • @AuraStriker96 Yes.

  • I love the parallels between animals hunting their prey and military strategy. The oxen made a defensive formation with their horns facing outward toward the wolves. As soon as the wolves broke the formation, they were able to hunt down the vulnerable and isolated oxen with ease. Similarly, if you break up a phalanx or a testudo formation, the individual soldiers become more vulnerable. These wolves must have read The Art of War.

  • Eff yo musk oxen.

  • wow those bitchass oxen juss finna ditch they're lil bruhh and let him get eaten smh

  • dwight could do that

  • Im up in nunavut working and hope to post some better footage than this, just spotted a wolves den 6 miles from our camp

  • People complaiing about the young being killed, in reality that is the best option in terms of species survial. If a parent is killed, most likely the young will also die. With both parents still alive they can have more young and continue, rather than cutting off a full genetic line if the parent and calf die.

  • actually oxen are able to fight the wolf...they have strength but no courage...

  • Life is Real

  • Go wolfies!! X3 i luv arctic wolves. especially if u live up in the cold northern part of canada.. like me! :3

  • I honestly think that Arctic Wolves are the most beautiful animal in the world.

  • i really can't wait till i leave school and get out of college and all spo i can get out of england and over to north america with wolves lol i love canada :D it would be awesome living there ith my siberian husky and working with wolves

  • go wolves!!!!!!!!!

  • go Mr.Wolfy !!!!

  • Musk Oxen are dumb... they don't protect their young very well. We now know who wins this deadliest warrior match-up.

  • Wolves > Oxen :D

  • Seems like you like math.. EH jk

  • To those of you who think that wolves will only take old or sick animals get your heads out of your fairy tale school books, come up here and see the real world. Wolves normally try to seperate the calves(babies) out of a herd because they are the easiest to take down. If they can't find a an easy meal they will take down a full grown healthy animal as well. If they are hungry enough and get brave enough they will even eat you.

  • do that make them to be exterminated?

    they adapt for surviving

  • Arctic wolfs FTW :3~

  • lol today we humans do it in solos (hunting) or duos (most commonly(some hunting parties but its sometimes rare) cuz today we usually think its a BANG dead then bring back home, lol if mammoths were here today its just 1 barret 50. cal then boom down to the floor whereas b4 we humans would team up and corner the bests, sigh... the difference is 2 great.. lol

  • WOLVES FTW

  • Wow! Even animals (both predators and prey) are smart. They too learn from their mistake and they too can form strategies.

  • Thats completely wrong man, wolves ONLY hunt when their food sorce is completely drained, sex they only do in the month of march, and are discrete, they maximum pack size will be 5-10 wolves and the wolves have substance, they will only have 2-3 cubs if the pack is large and low food supply.

  • Well, when they start publishing books on the survival habits of caribou than I'll be more lenient.

  • Its because of the Inuit and Eskimo people, the expansion of cities and other effects that are causing caribou depletion.

  • the inuit and eskimo people have nothing to do with it.........you have to understand that canada used to have no roads or cities and now in a short period it has thousands of clear cuts from logging and city expansion.....woodland caribou need old growth forests and we chopped down all the old growth and turned it into new growth.....the inuit people have expanded like 1 percent compared to us........they have always relied on caribou for main food but that probably helped the herds more

  • this just shows you how intelligent wolves are!

  • yes because people never ganged up on any large animal, for instance a mammoth, elephant, or hippo, now did they?

  • You have no idea what your saying, if the wolves do not kill the sick and weak, it is a plague on the rest of the herd. The wolves will charge the heard, find who is weak and or sick and take only the worst animal from the heard

  • Formed a circle... that's a pretty neat idea for the oxen...

Animals are so brave and smart. Makes us humans feel inferior to their intelligence.

  • AMEN!! they have instinct...we have intellegence...and I agree, most of the time, instinct, or a gut feeling goes WAY farther than intelligence. :) smart lil critteres, arent they? :)

  • If you ever read the book by Jim Brandenburg when he actually was up there with David Mech you will get the story behind that wolf pack. There are also some truly amazing pictures in there to. It's call *White Wolf* Living with an Arctic Legend. It Rocks!!!!

  • Wow, the arctic wolves are so beautiful!!!

  • This is still one of the most amazing animal hunt videos ever recorded. This version has edited out the actual kill and consuming of the baby musk ox by the wolf pack, which was very graphic and intense. The lower ranking members of the pack were food begging at the kill, just as they did when they were pups. Absolutely amazing video!

  • I bought this Arctic Wolf video when it first came out 20 years ago. This was recorded in the summer of 1986 by Dave Mech and Jim Brandenburg. They filmed a wolf pack that probably had never seen humans before and were able to get within a few feet of them. You'll notice that the musk ox and the wolves run right past the camera at about 00:50.

  • I though musk oxen were the same size as the American bison, but I was wrong. Their huge would probably discourage even bears from attacking the adults.

  • WOOT GO WOLFS!!!

  • Thanks heaven for national geographic.

  • I wonder what ox tastes like...

  • Excellent! ;-)

  • pretty cool, you can see the millions of years of animal instncts keep. triceratops did the same thing when attacked, formed a circe to protect its young.

  • wolves are beautiful!!!!!!!!!intelligent and veloci

  • Hmmmmmmm, look at the amount of meat in that ox!

  • Musk oxen are actually relatives of goats!

  • i can beat them

  • Funny the things you can learn from a dumb Ox!

There's safety in numbers, Fighting together in a group is more effective, and lastly how facing down an adversary is better than being "picked off" while you cut-and-run

  • wolfs from da hood. very nice

  • Serious, if they outweigh and outnumber the wolves and somehow decide to "run" for it, they deserve to have their babies eaten.

  • if it were african buffalo they would of fought back, and thats against lions

  • musk ox do defend their young most of the time

  • difference being is that when the young gets seperated from the heard the african buffalo would turn back, but musk oxen are like see ya later kid

  • You'd think that 150 lbs vs 2000 lbs would be easy to defend...

  • Difference in speed, Much?

  • Wolf r the best they r my favorite animal

  • ox rule!

  • Dogs are hunting creatures that work in a pack, that is their instinct and always will be, humans weren't always looking after dogs, so think to yourself how they got this far. Wolves are beautiful.

  • good work

  • I love wolves, and though many people will go and say "Oh they're horrible, the poor [insert prey], they're so cute, but the wolves kill them."

It's not really that way. It's the circle of life right? They have to eat.

Most humans eat meat too right?

  • I hear you princess ;)

  • @misheruhime and now it is the oppiste. "save dah wolves, eww bats are ugly. don't save them!"

  • @misheruhime

I get what you're saying and I agree with you completely but it's still a pretty imbalanced system right? The oxen never eat the wolves, they just get picked off one by one. I don't know it might just be because I took a course on slavery and it reminds me of how slaves could only ever resist their masters by running away and if they ever stood up to them they would be destroyed.

  • @Bookstop1337

    @kuwaizair

it's just problematic because people don't realise that everything is interconnected - if the oxen died out, so would the wolves, and if the wolves died out, the oxen would overpopulate and food would become scarce - they need each other.

  • @misheruhime

I know.. sometimes I'm just overly sensitive to the suffering of animals even though it's been going on for billions of years and is necessary for life to continue.

  • @misheruhime That's true! There's no good or evil in the world of animals, it's only us people who want to categorize everything that way.

  • @misheruhime I'm vegetarian...

But then again, i love wolves and orcas, so...

  • wow cute ox:) too bad the wolfs have to eat them...they should be vegetarians(sorry my bad english)

  • i love wolves

  • eat more chicken... chick-fila..

  • poor lil musky fella

  • wolffff

  • musk oxen are good protectors to there young ones they make a round and the little ones stay in the middle smart musk oxens good protectors and scary

  • go wolves! power of the pack!

  • o control u all bitches

  • omg poor oxens

  • Holy Crap!!! How can I join the elites! That sounds great! I want to control everything and everybody. Bwah hah hah! You are all mine!!!

  • There is one thing you can take with you, Cuban rum, just take several swigs of this honey before you die... and there you have it in spirit! How how how, yes we all should be more vigilant. Knowledge is power, Cuban rum is bliss!

  • A wolf is not that far from a domestic dog. A dog can be feral like wolves if raised in the wild and same thing goes for a wolf.

If you raise it as a pup, it will be loyal to you. It will not attack you. The only major difference is that they don't really understand commands/orders.

  • Okay bobbyssare. Why don't you raise some wolves from pups and see how tame they are. It is called natural instincts as opposed to learned behavior. I knew a guy who lost his left hand in an attack by his domestic wolves that had never seemed dangerous before. And he is certainly not the only person who had pup-raised wolves that suddenly went bad.

  • Yes but the same things happens with "tamed" caucas sheppards or rottveillers...

  • Uhh yeah that has a lot to do with musk oxen.

  • Oh come on now... let the guy have his say. Don't you know that musk oxen are the reincarnations of upper echelon freemasons? Oxen herds control our governments. Pass me the Cuban rum please. Have a happy new year. Which way to Havana?

  • looks meaty

  • Are those oxen good to eat? I would like to make some steaks out of one of them.

  • that white wolf was so beautiful, lol, not that i fancy wolves or anything, they are just cute.

  • those wolves are vicious yet cute...two words i thought id nvr use in the same sentence.

  • those wolves look hungry

  • Yeah, I've heard that some have been partly domesticated.

  • i wanna see a polar bear against an oxen, not for fun but educational reasons.

  • Those Arctic Wolves truly look magnificent.

  • i wouldn't mess with the musk oxen, they could probably kill a human

  • ofcorse they can....

  • It depends...

if you have a gun the odds are at your side.

  • thats cool?

  • sadece kalıp var aqum yaratıkta hic yürek yoq

  • looks like one big steak

  • Awesome :D I love clips like these

  • Wolves are my favourite animal, but im not gonna take any sides. I mean the ox are just trying to protect their young but the wolves are killing cause they need food, not for fun.

  • if you are hungry ok hunt them all but if you are killin animals for satisfaction you are son of a bitch

  • Not only do you display a disgusting and twisted lack of respect for life, but your attempts at justifying said disrespect are just ludicrous. Hunting is right because you get a "buzz"? Even if you don't believe that animals are more than just things for us to use as we please, I find it hard to believe that god put something on this Earth just so we could experience the pleasure of killing it. Somehow, that doesn't strike me as very "holy".

  • i have seen them up close here in Norway. We had to drive them away with a beltwagon

  • the oxens makes a yummy mutton chop!

  • interesting

  • cool video.

  • haha, screw all your rifles, be a real man a use a bow. You have never hunted until you kill a fuckin animal with nothing more than (in its bare self) a pointed stick. (even though i use a bowtech guardian lol)

  • neet

  • honestly, you are compensating for your small pecker. Take on an elephant with a spear and a few buddies, then i will concede to your 'buzz' and agree with you. Until then, you are just squeezing a trigger and showing what a foolish scumbag you are. These creatures are disappearing and will be gone so you and yours will get a 'buzz'.

  • it is the first time that i saw that kind of animal

  • Its survival of the fittest, you can't blame wolves for wanting to eat, its a sad point of view from the oxen, but thats nature. Only chance to protect thier young is for them to stick close like the vid. said, but the young outnumber the parents so the stranglers are the ones taken. Sad but necessary circle of life.

  • stupd oxen

  • fine example why no matter what the odds you should always stand your ground.

  • I love it, the tenacity of the wolves and steadfastness and perseverance of the ox.

  • and your also a sick fuck... go kill yourself...

  • ya your a sick fuck, why don't you kill yourself and leave the animals alone.

  • Reminds me of some rednecks at my school, They are the worse! Dumb retards so primitive in ways of life, Like George Bush, Sad, sad..

  • oh and truth be fuckin told, i bet he doesn't kill animals. he's just a fuckin redneck living in the middle of nowhere with no friends who goes to an internet cafe to act big on youtube.

YOUR ADOPTED YOUR PARENTS DON'T LOVE YOU!!!!

  • gee wish I was there with my 308 I would have made a few ox friends.. and got nice white pelts... wow I missed out again...

    CDC

  • Man, I know what you mean! I'd made alot of friends too! And bring me home a nice skin, also.. Retard.

  • ow ya musk ox. I always forget about that animal

  • God, you are stupid, are you >12?

  • LOL Thats what I thought!

  • Bite the bait much?

  • I'm on about you people believing the bullshit boilnose types to see you freak out for his own entertainment.

  • nature and its beauty as always

  • Your such a dipshit.... get a life

  • YES! My favourite animal! =D

  • One wolf is saying "Yummy Oxen. Hey guys, again tommorow?" Then another Wolf said"K, tommorow!" Then the oldest wolf said" Ya OK, tommorow again." Then all of thw wolves said " Ya tommorow again!"

  • wow these animals are actualy smart...they fight back. geeesh

  • Umm yea its probably a good idea they fight back considering they prolly will get eatin if they don't... this has nothing to do with how "smart" they are, they are just trying to make it in the world

  • omg! how mean is that snort @ 1m33s! :o

  • i love how the musk oxen's fur flies everywhere when they run... so cute

  • why is this video popular today? I saw this on top videos on msn?

  • I like to think of this as a political metaphor.

Can you guess who the wolves represent?

Can you guess who the musk oxen represent?

  • those oxen are beautiful

  • Yiff yiff yiff.

  • Go wolves!

  • Happy ending. YAAAAYYYYY!!!

  • How many big macs would a musk oxen make i wonder?? Bet ya ronald knows

  • wolves rule

  • cool!

  • iwill find you and send those wolfs afther you

  • LOL...

  • i will find you, and kill you...again.

  • ha ha ha either way whos gona win its still the rule of narute lol

  • natures beauty lies in the prevalence of instinct over what we people call good and evil.

  • problem us, us humans don't have the luxury of having only instinct to guide us :)

    strange how evolution works, no?

  • Musk Oxen for the win!

  • ha!
