  • hey man im 16 years old and im in boxing. i been doiin this for about a year. do you have any special tips that will give me the edge in the ring? Cause you seem really skilled. i'll appreciate it.

  • @roseastackpapper Hiya mate, the best advice I can give you is stick at it! The more you do anything the better you will get, always look to those more experienced, fitter and stronger than you. When you can, always train with a partner that is better than you and you will improve faster. Train your ass off and stay the path, this is the way to become great!

The best edges to have are to be more experienced and most importantly fitter!

  • You definitely earned your belts didn't you? Very impressed with the sparring and your overall level if fitness. Makes me want to train hard for 2nd Dan. Thanks for sharing such an inspirational video. :)

  • excellent grading

  • you sur, earned that belt, this has been one of the best videos i have seen on youtube for sparring/testing. I just started at premiere martial arts under Sifu Mark Casey myself and cannot wait for this stuff right here that pushes you past your limit and then a lil bit further. congrats and i wish you the best, thank you for the video.

  • @Jimmietrash thanks for taking the time to comment, I hope your training goes well mate! :D

  • haha this looked like the 100 opponents thing, how many opponents where there?

  • @brageritu haha i dont think i would have survived 100! If I remember right I had 7 matches this grading, watch the video and count :P for twice the fun count how many times i get hit! :P

  • very impressive!!

  • All that protection gear, lucky you. When I graded for sandan JKA shotokan, all I wore were gloves and we had to fight 5 different guys.

  • ouch! the protective gear really makes a huge difference, im sure the sparring would be very different without it!

Its great to hear from a martial artist all the way from Japan :)

  • excellent test and congrats on the whole event. A black belt is something that you wear around your heart and you definitely showed you wear it proud!

  • What style is this???

  • Hi uckushtar, we train in freestyle karate. I have trained a little shukokai when I was younger too.

  • BEAUTIFUL SINGLE LEG SLAM AT 8: 34 !!!

  • Sloppy gaurd ,

  • sloppy spelling, HAHA!

  • your lvl of fitness is amazing...

  • cheers mate, I was absolutely exhausted by this point!

  • So wish i was there too see that :(

  • im so jealous..

  • what martial art is this?

  • Shit...looks like hes fighting everyone!

  • Great Technique...both fighters look sharpe.

  • 2 v 1 looked like he was just geting bitrhday beats

  • haha i can assure you it fealt like it too!

  • cool I got knocked out sparing 2 for my brown belt haha...

  • i wish i trained with tyou guys, i go to a HUGE Mcdojo..if you know what i mean, and im looking for good sparrin like this, do you know if there are schools that do this in Southern California?!

  • do you guys ever get cuts on your face during sparring or black eyes?

  • hi shuriken, so long as you use control and good quality protective equipment you will be fine. i dont think i have ever been cut in sparring and black eyes are few and far between! At the end of the day it comes down to the level of control you and your partner are using!

  • your second round looks more like what i had to go through for my first degree black, i was sparring my teachers, it was fun

  • Great sparring!! I love the atmosphere of your dojo. You guys are real martial artists.

  • thanks for the kind words, i really love training here :)

  • thanks mate, i do love to kick!

  • great day this was, do you have mine and toms spar? i wana see the part where he catches me with that knee lol

  • thanks for the kind words mate, i agree i definately need to work on those areas, how is your training going? :D

  • LoL, those red shin pads are the ones i use

  • only the cool cats use those! How long have you been training for mate, and what style? :D

  • I've been training for eleven years this July, in Mainly KuK Sool Wan and Muay Thai, and a little BJJ

  • Cool moves Lee.....our fight was awsome!!! When will we fight again?? (sentence spoke in a strong japanese voice)

  • aye i really enjoyed it mate, maybe we will meet again at the interclub!

  • Where you watching this video mr.slinkynubby?? there was good use of throws and takedowns.....may i ask..are you blind?

  • good kickboxing, too bad you don't use throws or sweeps...

  • we did use them here and there mate, i must admit i much prefer to keep at a striking range, but tom another instructor here prefers it up close and personal, picking up and dumping people for fun

  • I've trained in taekwondo, and now in jujutsu, I find I prefer to close the gap, go for sweeps or throws, then end things with joint locks, etc. certainly looks like you had a great time though!

  • wow nice one Lee, you and Elliott seemed to of had fun lol, Elliott good aswell
