I really don't understand what's so special about blue ray other than it's special selective features. I can't tell any visual or audio difference between the blue ray and dvd. But I just love how when you watch the comparison between the two in stores, dvd always looks so shitty. Surely people don't fall for it...it's quite obvious that the DVD side was blurred. Blue Ray is just another way for the entertainment industry to suck more money out of your wallet because it's "different."

Yeah, i guess you're right. I just don't know, though. Every store i've been in a store that sold these large HD tvs had blue ray disks playing and on every tv the picture was pixelated. I could tell a SLIGHT difference on the smaller tvs, but i've yet to see a large HD tv that wasn't pixelated. But who knows...maybe i'm just looking at crappy brands of tvs? Or maybe i'm looking at a large HD tv with crappy resolution? I just know i've yet to be impressed with what i've seen in stores.

I really don't understand what's so special about blue ray other than it's special selective features. I can't tell any visual or audio difference between the blue ray and dvd. But I just love how when you watch the comparison between the two in stores, dvd always looks so shitty. Surely people don't fall for it...it's quite obvious that the DVD side was blurred. Blue Ray is just another way for the entertainment industry to suck more money out of your wallet because it's "different."

Yeah, i guess you're right. I just don't know, though. Every store i've been in a store that sold these large HD tvs had blue ray disks playing and on every tv the picture was pixelated. I could tell a SLIGHT difference on the smaller tvs, but i've yet to see a large HD tv that wasn't pixelated. But who knows...maybe i'm just looking at crappy brands of tvs? Or maybe i'm looking at a large HD tv with crappy resolution? I just know i've yet to be impressed with what i've seen in stores.
