@TheReallydontcare He has skill. He casts a good many games so he has a lot of knowledge of timings and strats, though his game mechanics may not be of someone who has won thousands of games.
@sshelto16 The point is that to get into even gold league (EU) you need strong macro and great hotkey management. I just think that I could beat most NA plat leaguers, it's surprising to see the skill difference sometimes- for example Jeff got to high plat/almost diamond by 4gating. JUST 4GATING.
it IS possible that the zerg was maybe a gold league person, since you can play a lower league if you lose matches. (you can even play 2 leagues down, and that zerg seemed more silver than gold to me...)

Real good game you kicked some zerg ass(if they have one :D).. He got some gas in your gas wich you could have destroyd before it would have gone up. Also you missed the expansion in the minimap and only realized it when it was up and halfgame.
I no u noticed halfway through but u stopped probe production and then you were always a little low on money when trying to warp in units. Also even though you won you should expand just in case he has something hidden that you didn't scout. I no it's ez for me to say that but in the middle of the game its hard to think about. Otherwise very good game and 4 gate
one thing i could have suggested was killing the spawning pool/roach warren before hatceries to stop unit production, all he could kill u with then would be drones.
The shift right click method of leaving your probe alone is OK but not great you can better use a shift patrol that way you dont have to come back to reque up those orders =D
i think you warped at least 3 or 4 waves, most likely more, in your base while you had a proxypylon up
i dont think he would have tried to get you with 10 zerglings while you attacked because he was probably low on minerals and spend all he had on saving his base so you could've applied more pressure with more proxy warp ins

I think that proxy pylon should've been closer to the high ground cause if you move like 1 zealot on the high ground to the pylon, you have vision so you can warp on the high ground and avoid that Spine.
I think you should focus down hatch, roach warren, then pool faster and not take too much damage from broodlings when they die. Since the hatch is down, they take the continual damage from being creep-less, so you can save yourself some time to put more pressure/not take some damage
1. when entering battle if your stalkers are taking hits as your zealots are coming in from behind, RUN your stalkers back, and KEEP runing them back until zeals start tanking. Stalkers should never be tanking dmg with zeals around.
2. shootn'scoot with your stalkers constantly. When I'm in combat I'm constantly ctrl-clicking my stalkers to reposition them. to shoot'n'scoot just right-click/press H with correct timing

When you scouted the expo there was a red mark on the mini map showing he was fast expanding but only had the drone down there yet. If you saw that you could have laid down a pylon or harrassed his drone.. Didn't matter in this case anyways.
I'm not a pro, but couldn't you have placed the pylon at his base a bit closer, then used vision to warp them up on the platform directly (main base) and avoid running pass the static defenses taking a few hits?
What you could have done is once you were up the ramp, instead of tempting units fate and keep bringing them up the ramp -- shoulda moved your proxy pylon closer to the edge of his main so you could get view of the highground with your units in his base and warped up there.
@jayaiwhy yep i play SEA and im in bronze for 1v1/ silver for 2v2,, and whenever I watch NA games I think there is no way these players can be Platinum/or even higher.

The z player losted because he(she) fail to prepare for a 4-gate (one of the most common and easiest toss openings). That´s why he´s in master league while I´m still in diamond even if my macro is still better
This has nothing to do with game sense nor unit compositions, it's about not being a complete fucking retard. Z stole P's gas > no void / DT coming anytime soon, but then felt safe with 2 spine crawlers and a couple of roaches. He drones like crazy even tho he has pretty much no information on what the P is doing. IF he had built more units he would've survived that 4gate easily, pretty much winning the game.

Attack-move your units to around the pylon 'n queue normal walk up his ramp. Will alert you if he's trying to counter you or pick off reinforcements, and it's fairly easy to do :) GG
depends on the units you re in there with. if you re able to deal the death blow, do it your way. if you re in there with a bunch of marauders, stim them and go for the hatch or the spawningpool. if you re in there with marines,go for drones etc.
your sentries are getting a little separated from your army ... when you move them out just make sure they stay together and you will get more out of that gas you put into them. that last sentry that died was a mile away crying about how his best buddies didn't back him up against the swarm when he needed it most
one small pointer: keep your jennys (sentries) alive longer. he always targeted them first (wisely) to keep you from using FF. Try to keep them alive a bit longer and you can destroy ppl much easier!
I'm not a big starcraft player; but the one thing i noticed is your scouts will find buildings on your mini map and you will only discover them sometime later (in this game the expansion in particular)
@BIGFATPEACHES gold is all about the cheese, when you start to get decent and placed in gold you see all sorts of cheese, gotta learn to counter every single one and then you can get into platnum
Your wall up's need improving too big a gap please fix as it's driving me fucking crazy see how easy it could have been for him to lay some early pressure on you due to a gap the size of Auir in your wall
if your plan was to ramp run you should have made a pylon that could warp to high ground. Also after spotting that pool go down at 16 supply and you 2 gated and being close pos you might as well just chronoboost zealots rallied to his base and win faster. Also you looked back at your base too often, I'm not sure why, you weren't even using your proxy pylon.
Could also definitely try putting your proxy pylon right up in his base, on the side. Then you wouldnt have to deal with the ramp so much since that's a choke point
When yuo 4gate rather then warping units to your main base, warp to the proxy pylon, and also for safety fully wall with a pylon when you move outto stop counter attacks.
@orkinho1 The NA servers are plagued with random placements. Most of the time, I play against Platinum/Diamond level players... but randomly I get queued against someone Far below me. Granted it said Teams Even, that Zerg was Just placed... So his MMR is wickedly misplaced... Regardless, Keep up the Positive changes Mr. Black... and You'll eventually do fine. You are taking a stupid amount of Backlash for no reason... Work on Hotkeying and a lot of the little things some players pointed.
4gate is nearly all-in; don't believe it then check what else is going on in MB's base, tech and econ wise. I think in this game, Zerg just didn't do a good enough job scouting then preparing to defend.
Two improvements that don't require ANY extra skill or effort:
1) I don't have the APM to be constantly micro-ing the scout while having perfect macro at home so using patrol for the scout is much easier. You just had the scout going in a circle anyway
2) put the second proxy pylon just a few squares further to the left. That way you could be warping straight into the main base instead of running reenforcements up the ramp whilst being attacked by spines + queens.
Ignore these people giving you mechanic tips, you will learn as you go along
The most important thing is intuition. you were close spawn with the zerg and he was droning really hard. You should have skipped your gas and went for double gateway chrono'd zealots. Would have been over much sooner. You still won though because that zerg was terrible

4gate isnt that hard to defend anymore because of the extra time added to get it, it lets you get out more units and gives you a better oppurtunity to scout it
Only thing I'd have done differently was to send out a scout to the other expansions, some zerg will expand all over the place on you and let you take their main and an expo then counter from a couple of other bases into your main.
You could have set the proxie closer to his base on the second proxie pylon so you could warp in units on top instead of getting hurt by the low ground spine crawler =x just a thought
Best advice, constantly glance at your mini-map, and double as often if you see something enter your base. you can easily prevent someone from take over a gas like that again.
One thing I noticed was that once you got into his main your attack was aimless. You just let them attack whatever. You should forcefield the ramp like you did, then walk your units into the mineralline and target drones and when they flee target vital buildings like the spawning pool or the roach warren.
You need to take down his Roach Warren first then spawning spool, or which ever one first. A zergs biggest weakness is the loss of his production facilities. If he had 10 hatcheries and 100 larvae bit take down his spawning pool he can't spawn zerglings whatsoever. So your quickest way to have won that is snipe the Warren then the pool then everything else.
- 6:296:527:117:19 You have to stop looking away from the battle as often as you do. This creates huge slip-ups in your micro. You should have won hands down with the first wave of units, but you weren't microing them properly or studderstepping at 6:07 when all he had was 3-4 roach vs your army
- 3:25 You should have spent a bit less of your focus on scouting early on, once you saw he was getting a really late spawning pool. Your macro slipped up big time because of it
@Ruffy4President The more you train, the better you get (as long as your technique is all right.) The 4gate build is quite effective once you've mastered it.
i think it is a good idea to try and hide your pylon when you place it like somewhere out of their view and where they wont naturally walk when travelling between bases... you did the latter but not the former... all together good game though mate gj
That was quite a good game, and I couldn't ever play this way, but I agree with one thing that was said: You should've expanded even after your successful attack. If he'd countered it, he had an expansion (so a crystal income) while you didn't build any probes nor did you increase your mining rate. So if he'd countered well you would have been weaker economically, after spending a lot of resources on units.
If you're going to be in the main like that place a proxy pylon in such a position that the power field allows you to warp in on the high ground, makes reinforcing a bit easier. Also if you're going to do such a zealot/stalker heavy 4gate you can get away with only having 1 gas taken since you need more mineral income, you were gas heavy a few times there.
I'd also recommend hotkeying your zealots on one key and stalkers on another, so zealots don't get stuck behind stalkers as much.
you chrono'd your nexus without building any probes, when you hadn't built any probes for 5 minutes o.O
and i'm sure that at some point there, either after you destroyed his main hatchery, or when you took out all of his tech, you could have got an expansion. don't get too comfortable, if he had had a secret base, you could have got roflstomped.
@acipswich I guess his thinking was that his base was defenceless, and he could have unintentionally forced a base race so he spawned a few units down there and moved em up
@RFxJLgaming When I meant by building far from the ramp is that he should keep his two gateways away from the ramp, so a scout wouldn't know whether or not he was going 3 gate robo, 4 gate, ect.

as a result you didn't have quite enough minerals for troops or for an expo
you should always try to get an expo started when you feel you have your opponent on the ropes
Then, even if your push gets blocked you can fall back on a resource advantage

Could also definitely try putting your proxy pylon right up in his base, on the side. Then you wouldnt have to deal with the ramp so much since that's a choke point

When yuo 4gate rather then warping units to your main base, warp to the proxy pylon, and also for safety fully wall with a pylon when you move outto stop counter attacks.

@orkinho1 The NA servers are plagued with random placements. Most of the time, I play against Platinum/Diamond level players... but randomly I get queued against someone Far below me. Granted it said Teams Even, that Zerg was Just placed... So his MMR is wickedly misplaced... Regardless, Keep up the Positive changes Mr. Black... and You'll eventually do fine. You are taking a stupid amount of Backlash for no reason... Work on Hotkeying and a lot of the little things some players pointed.

4gate is nearly all-in; don't believe it then check what else is going on in MB's base, tech and econ wise. I think in this game, Zerg just didn't do a good enough job scouting then preparing to defend.

WP.
Two improvements that don't require ANY extra skill or effort:
1) I don't have the APM to be constantly micro-ing the scout while having perfect macro at home so using patrol for the scout is much easier. You just had the scout going in a circle anyway
2) put the second proxy pylon just a few squares further to the left. That way you could be warping straight into the main base instead of running reenforcements up the ramp whilst being attacked by spines + queens.

The most important thing is intuition. you were close spawn with the zerg and he was droning really hard. You should have skipped your gas and went for double gateway chrono'd zealots. Would have been over much sooner. You still won though because that zerg was terrible

4gate isnt that hard to defend anymore because of the extra time added to get it, it lets you get out more units and gives you a better oppurtunity to scout it

Only thing I'd have done differently was to send out a scout to the other expansions, some zerg will expand all over the place on you and let you take their main and an expo then counter from a couple of other bases into your main.

You could have set the proxie closer to his base on the second proxie pylon so you could warp in units on top instead of getting hurt by the low ground spine crawler =x just a thought

Best advice, constantly glance at your mini-map, and double as often if you see something enter your base. you can easily prevent someone from take over a gas like that again.

One thing I noticed was that once you got into his main your attack was aimless. You just let them attack whatever. You should forcefield the ramp like you did, then walk your units into the mineralline and target drones and when they flee target vital buildings like the spawning pool or the roach warren.

You need to take down his Roach Warren first then spawning spool, or which ever one first. A zergs biggest weakness is the loss of his production facilities. If he had 10 hatcheries and 100 larvae bit take down his spawning pool he can't spawn zerglings whatsoever. So your quickest way to have won that is snipe the Warren then the pool then everything else.

- 6:29 6:52 7:11 7:19 You have to stop looking away from the battle as often as you do. This creates huge slip-ups in your micro. You should have won hands down with the first wave of units, but you weren't microing them properly or studderstepping at 6:07 when all he had was 3-4 roach vs your army
- 3:25 You should have spent a bit less of your focus on scouting early on, once you saw he was getting a really late spawning pool. Your macro slipped up big time because of it

i think it is a good idea to try and hide your pylon when you place it like somewhere out of their view and where they wont naturally walk when travelling between bases... you did the latter but not the former... all together good game though mate gj

That was quite a good game, and I couldn't ever play this way, but I agree with one thing that was said: You should've expanded even after your successful attack. If he'd countered it, he had an expansion (so a crystal income) while you didn't build any probes nor did you increase your mining rate. So if he'd countered well you would have been weaker economically, after spending a lot of resources on units.

If you're going to be in the main like that place a proxy pylon in such a position that the power field allows you to warp in on the high ground, makes reinforcing a bit easier. Also if you're going to do such a zealot/stalker heavy 4gate you can get away with only having 1 gas taken since you need more mineral income, you were gas heavy a few times there.
I'd also recommend hotkeying your zealots on one key and stalkers on another, so zealots don't get stuck behind stalkers as much.

you chrono'd your nexus without building any probes, when you hadn't built any probes for 5 minutes o.O
and i'm sure that at some point there, either after you destroyed his main hatchery, or when you took out all of his tech, you could have got an expansion. don't get too comfortable, if he had had a secret base, you could have got roflstomped.

@RFxJLgaming When I meant by building far from the ramp is that he should keep his two gateways away from the ramp, so a scout wouldn't know whether or not he was going 3 gate robo, 4 gate, ect.
