in SV9 drag the episode into the editor or w/e and the audio should separate from the video or if its still connected to video theres a volume control just put it all the way down this should help the episode audio problem

you probably have the wrong video format!

For example Sony Vegas does not accept .avi files!

umm... drag the clip into the video stream thing. Then cet to a point where you want to cut it and click "s". But you have to click the vid before you click 's'. Hope that helps!^^

I jsut got the program and I have a really stupid question: I want to cut out clips to use in music vids, but when I cut out a clip I don't know how to save it or anything. It's just there in the timeline - I'd imagine there would be a way to save that clip along with the others that I cut out of the episodes, so that I can drag and drop them into my timeline when I got all the clips gathered. I hope someone can help thanks.

ya, there is no masking.

hmm... It's a good editing system... but i would recommend sony vegas pro 8, or sony vegas 7 cause those are the only 2 with masking. :P

of course there are bug improvements and some added effects most likely, but the set up is most likely kept the same since there shouldnt be a learning curve from the previous versions. and about the program havning no masking, how much did you pay for it? if it was around $100, there is no masking; if it was really expensive, there is.

and vegas pro 8 will give you masking for sure, but u might have masking on this
