Hakeem actuallly would "shake" his shoulders before shooting a turnaround jumpshot. He was really just using shoulder fakes that looked as if he was shaking, and that's where the name was established. After the shoulder fakes, he would quickly spin to the baseline shooting a mid-range jumper while fading out of bounds.

Idiots just refer to any great double move Hakeem would make as a Dream Shake.
