  • I'd be curious to know what you think about using this to "DJ" a live set from... like people do w/ Ableton? Think it's possible? Can you think of anything that might prevent someone from using it like that? I never used one, so curious what you think. Maybe have 90-120 minutes of decent quality (320kbps) mp3's on the CF card, and crossfade between them live while keeping tracks in sync? Possible? Maybe add loops on top? Thanks for any thoughts. Just curious as I watch this. Thanks.

  • @TequilaThunder it's already been done, not by me but by Erase, who happen to work at Elektron: Go to soundcloud, search this phrase: "elektron-octatrack-house-mix" . It's on my "to-do"-list one day, but I am already having too much fun just making music myself instead :) but yeah. check the soundcloud link and listen to how it sounds :)

  • Me wanna Octatrak. Me wanna.

Love any synth that is live performance oriented.

  • Not a first adopter.. was waiting to see what the machine can do after people had it a while. Very nice! Next on my list! Thanks for posting the guide. Already got the MM and the MD. So it's not a big leap for me to add it to the kit I have.

    Thanks!

  • Great. Very tempted to purchase the Octatrack after seeing that.

  • Very nice little demonstration of a cool feature. Those Elektrons are beasts! Nice beat/s aswell ;-)

  • very nice, you've got some brilliant techno patterns going on there!
