  • it was originally filmed for smallvilee, its easy to work out, as the farm in both is clarks farm

  • Terminator premier is 30 June 2003.

Smallville episode original air date is 1 December 2004.

1 year and 4 months after the terminator premier. The answer is obvious.

  • i did not really belived, this was for real. Until i saw this episode a few moments ago :>

  • i think Lex was a robot from the future ;D

  • @TheMazaxist Oh my god, I totally agree! xD

  • @TheMazaxist And Batman becomes John Connor and General Sam Lane becomes General Ashdown. ....

    Whoa!

  • The only name I could find for the soundtrack is Smallville SE4E10 - Lex's Dream Of Destruction

  • smallville had it first it was in season 1 witch was back in 2001

  • @ramm2000 Really? which episode. I couldn't find it in season 1?!?!

  • @Xerferic It wasn't used in Season 1. But Season 1 had a similar scene. /watch?v=yYRr67advsY

  • @Xerferic The episode where the old man becomes young after falling in the pond.

It didn't show all the nuke scenes, though

  • @ramm2000

but the episode aired in 2004

  • @sonnikku5 yeah it was the part when lex went out of the white house i thought that the nuke part was a part of the scene my bad

  • @ramm2000

    no problem

  • The music in the smallville clip also sounds like in the Smallville episode "Recruit" where Clark is saving Lois from drowning..

  • @christy4481 yea i noticed that too such cool music isnt it

  • @Xerferic Yes! i love it :)

  • Who cares? Ever heard of stock footage?

  • well your posting so you care

  • Comment removed

  • @sullivenomous another "fail" geek trying to be as cool as everyone else.

  • @Xerferic

Another pseudo-articulate hipster acting as if his irrelevant ad-hominem retort impacts in any way what I said in my previous comment. ^^

  • does anyone know what song is playing during lex's dream/nightmare in Smallville "Scare"?

  • Composed by Mark Snow but he never released it. So no one knows...

  • @hypnosegirl16

This is it. (No, not the Michael Jackson-movie ;D )

    megaupload(DOT)com/?d=JUNQ8B4E

  • Terminator rise of the machines came out in 2003 and the smallville episode came out in 2004

  • yea it wud have been made for terminator and used for smallville

  • i noticed this to!!! great footage though

  • Yeah I remember it mainly in season 4 ep10 but the music I'm guessing they made their own so might not be able to get it anywhere, love the music though.

  • ye i noticed that aswell!

  • i watched that same smallville episode this morning, then the t3 movie was on tonight ^^

  • the first time you see this is in season 1, but only with the flowers scene. In season 4 ep 10 the missle scene was added and then comes the flower scene(awesome music in this part too). Finally, in season 7 it shows all scenes put together.

  • Smallville was the first to use that footage, it also showed this in Season 1: Epi.6, HourGlass, and S.7, epi.18 too(: But I don't know the music though(:

  • yeh i noticed too

  • It was used too in the episode 18 of the season 7.

  • Lmao i noticved that last night when i watched terminator 3 again XD Nice little easter egg :P

  • I knew it

  • HA! I realized that too when I watched T3 after 'Scare.'

Mark Snow does the music for Smallville. Unfortunately he doesn't have the music available. He does an awesome job with it, though!

  • it saves time, money, and its an easter egg for fans of both, to watch that scene and go, "hey, i know that"

  • and now they re-used it in 7x18 'Apocalypse'

  • dude what the hec!

  • no you idiot its the last scene from terminator 3 rise of the machines

  • is this video in beggining from terminator movie??

  • There´s a scene of the film Batman begins too.....

  • i've been looking for this comparison ever since this episode first aired... thanks a lot. and yes, the song they played during the Lex scene is awesome... well, so was the music during T3...

  • no worries :)

  • by the way.. anyone know what the song called on smallville scene ?

  • apparently the composer i forgot his name but he didnt release it so no one can get it anywhere, maybe soon a smallville score will be realeased.

  • ahh.. thanks alot..

    is sounds very great !!!

it was on a spisode where louis was next to drown..

  • Are you guys talking about Save Me? by Remy Zero? thats th Main Title theme anyway

  • What the fuck... I dont buy illegal copies of DVD's to be ripped off!!

  • technically it wouldnt be stealing since Terminator 3 was made by Warner Brothers, which also makes Smallville. more of a sign of laziness than anything.

  • it says that smallville used terminator 3 footage on imdb so this is hardly news

  • yea hardly news to someone that just post on a video that was submitted last year

  • What ? that doesn't make sense

anyway everyone should be stealing terminator 3 footage, it sucked so much ass

  • Well even if it is the same, the movie and show are both done by WB (Granted that smallville is done by the CW witch once the WB)but anyway the shot works with both

  • I knew it was the same. Smallville also uses scenes of Gotham from Batman Begins for Metropolis at night.

  • Nope, actually they used Gotham from BB scenes for Gotham on Smallville, you can see this on "Rage" i think

  • No way, this is real?

  • Obviusly it was made for T3 it was probably justed used by Smallville to save alot of money. Just because T3 was released in 2003 dosnt mean it was all created in 2003 ;)

  • I knew it! I knew it! I knew it! When I saw the psychic episode, that was the first thing I noticed. Lex Luthor created Skynet. That would be awesome: Lex Luthor vs. the Terminator.

  • LOL calm down. That would be cool, hey yea it kind of makes sense now, how else could lex make all those missiles go off.

  • it could be stock footage that both the terminator people and smallville people both purchased

  • I think your right.

  • Obviously, T3 had this scene first. Does anyone here honestly think that a multi-million dollar film is going to copy special-effects from a TV show? It's not a big deal though, I've seen a lot of shows do this. Sometimes a TV show doesn't have the time or budget to create their own special-effects. I don't know how many times I've seen scenes from Top Gun and Crimson Tide in a TV show. The people who make Smallville probably figured it would save them time and money.

  • wow wtf did small vile steal it from terminator or sumthin

  • Mark Snow in 2003 huh? And you've been trying your whole life to find out the composer of that music? Well you're very technologically sound for a four year old.

  • umm your gay

  • No problem.

  • That footage from Smallville was actually from "Hourglass". Not the season 4 episode. But wow that episode of Smallville aired in 2001 or 2002 and T3 came out in 2003 I think....So Terminator 3 copied it from Smallville or they both got it from an unknown source. The music playing during the Smallville scene is by Mark Snow the composer of Smallville and he hasn't released any tracks yet so you will have to either wait for it to come out on cd or rip the audio from the video file yourself.

  • Thanks for the name Mark Snow too bad i cant get anything from it but yea thanks its good to know

  • its reused in season 4, but i dont think the missile part was in series 4

  • yeah... the lex scenes are from hourglass, but the missile scenes came straight from T3

  • HI

someone know the song name in the smallville part?.

    Thanks Good job-

  • ive been spending my whole life trying to find that song its impossible i tell ya

  • hi

someone know the song of the part in smallville? it´s very very GOOD. Thanks .

  • ummm... obivouslly terminator had it before because terminator 2 judgemeant day came out sometime in the 90s and this aired 2004, but this isn't the first time ive seen terminator and smallville relations, the 2nd episode of season 4 has the terminator thats not arnold from t2 in it

  • Its not from Terminator 2 Judgement day. Its from Terminator 3 Rise Of The Machines. Which came out in 2003. But yea it still came out before smallville aired.

  • oh, yea, right, ur right, i was thinking of that vision the mom has in the 2nd one, its the same ecxact thing that happens at the end of the third one but it shows the entire world beinmg bombed, not just a playground geting blown up, this clip shows hole world geting blown up too so yea

  • yea i noticed dis straight away from smallville funny shit

  • This footage was actually re-shown in season 4 the original airing of the terible Luther future was the 2nd episode of season #1 of smallville. I own all the seasons. A blind psychic see it after touching lex's hand. It wasn't till 4 years later that lex finally saw it himself.

Terminator 3 was released in theatre's in 2003 so filming would have been in 2001-2002.

The smallville episode aired in October 2001 so filming for this and additional episodes would have been August-Sept 2001

  • I own all five seasons. Awesome stuff. However, I moved recently and I don't get the CW (or WB as it was previously titled) anymore so I have to scrounge it off of here until the DVD set of season 6 comes out. Anyways, thanks for the info.

  • You might want to check again cause like you i also have every episode of smallville ever. I went over the episode Hourglass (blind psychic) and it did have the footage from the later lexs future but technicly there was no footage from Terminator. Terminator only showed the rockets going up and blowing up but in hourglass there were no rockets.

  • in the blind psychic episode it think it was just lex standing in a field of sunflowers which all died around him

  • I'm surprised that one didn't sue the other. Thanks for that little tid-bit I hadn't realized it. However, I'm going to have to compare my Smallville DVD sets to the Terminator 3 movie that I own. Good thing I have two TV's in my room so I can run them both at the same time.

  • I think terminator and smallville are both owned by the same people but I duno.

  • Warner Bros owns both Terminator and Smallville, which was why no one sued each other.

  • dang that's freaky i've never seen the terminator before

  • i knew that the first time i saw that episode lol
