I know that on internet postings of the script this is in there, just like in Citizen Kane's script postings online you'll see the improvised post-election scene added in. Also, with the Bob episode (I can't recall the name), the updated scripts, Matt LeBlanc falling while trying to answer the phone is included. According to the writers, he was originally supposed to pick up and say "Bob here".

@TheVidaddict Look at Matthew Perry's eyes when he realizes what he said. Also, notice how out of character Monica (Courtney Cox) is while she's trying to suppress a laugh. Some better examples of improv are left in, believe it or not. Remember the episode with Bob? According to the script, he was supposed to pick the phone up and say "Bob here", but he tripped while trying to grab the phone, that scene was preferred, and thus, stayed. It's not impossible that this was planned, but unlikely IMO.

I disagree. It wasnt in the shooting script but we didnt get to see the shooting script. All the reactions indicate they are teasing Matthew more than Chandler, and Matthew's final comment "anyway, Joey....." and his expression is not entirely Chandler by any means. To me that was the total giveaway. And you can even hear it in the audience's slightly nervous laughter. Great stuff.
