  • Shit stain

  • do you have strawberry blonde hair naturally? it has a super gold tone, do you put any rinse or temporary washes of color in it?

  • @electroleslie no some times if we've had a very bad dark winter i'll spray a little sun in in it just to take out the brassiness

  • did you use heat?

  • @EllenAlexandraBond nope just some setting lotion and let the hair set for a few hours .... if your short on time you can use a little heat from a diffused dryer to help dry the setting lotion

  • is this a 40's look ?

  • @MsTH4E based off one unfortunately my hair was way too long to be authentic at the the time

  • @PrimpedPreenNPeachy

i didnt say its not nice and beautiful i think it is . i just need to know what is label as a 40's

hairstyle because i needit for some school thing :)

i think you did a great job !

sorry for the bad english :\

  • @MsTH4E no, absolutely! I can see how it can be confusing because my hair is so long but if it was shorter it would look like a very popular type of "middy" hairstyle kinda like Rita Hayworth a popular actress of the times.... good luck on your school project

  • you'r so sweet !!

  • Very good video!...love the look!

  • How did you brush out your bangs like that???

  • @NataliaFaux hey thanks for the comment sorry if it was not clear i the video but i took a small brush with rounded edges and gathered my bangs and simply brushed under kinda turning my wrist with it, and once my bangs were smooth and rounded I pushed them to the side and fanned it out a little

hope this helps maybe rewatch it and if you still have questions let me know

    Sam

  • I've been looking for a channel like this, you gave me hope once more to be able to do these beautiful hairstyles! :]

  • @VahlienceYTC thanks ... all it takes is a little practice and seriously brush!

  • your hair color rocks!

  • Thanks for the tutorial.I love this hairstyle, and your blouse :) Btw, you totally look like Maggie Gyllenhall, especially in the eyes.

  • @AshleighSuzette thanks for the message, thats funny thats the second time i've heard that this week lol

  • @friedxricee its give me some skin by the andrew sisters

  • Subscribed! Please continue your tutorials. I so enjoy them!

  • @meyersmedley I know I'm alittle behind in making videos I'm moving to europe for 3 months and needless to say I'm running around with my head cut off but hopefully i can make another really soon, thanks for the comment

  • what are you wearing on your lips ?

  • @partyituhppjustfosho my favourite mentioned in my feb favs vid ... its a lip stain by josie maran i wear it in almost every video , i really like it though it's a little pricey at about 25$ CAD

  • It's SO RARE to find a super long hair vintage tutorial! Thanks for posting it Sam!!! :)

You know what? You seriously look like a cross between Maggie Gyllenhall (sp?) and Joan Cusack. ...Both are wonderful ladies! Anyway, I faved this and subbed because I LOVE your channel! Take care!

  • SO glad I found you!!! Wonderful vids. You will be a partner in no time!

  • @PatrinaStrippedBare I'm so glad I finally worked up the nerve to make video because I've soooo many sweet people, like you !

  • I recently bought the same wrap lotion but haven't used it yet. How do you like it?

  • @christinatron I really like it... i talk about it in my feb favs video - I've tried other cheaper brands like motions but this one has the best smell and it easy to brush out, I also find it does not dry out hair or leave it too stiff the only down side is it doesn't have as much hold as motions but at that time my hair was very long and thick so that could be it too

  • @PrimpedPreenNPeachy Okay awesome. I've been using Lottabody setting lotion for a long time but wanted to try something different so I went ahead and bought it. Thank you for the quick response! :)

  • DON'T CUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @brokahontas I know everyones been saying that but i've wanted to donate my hair for so long i need to cut 10 inches off to donate it... its for a charity that make wigs for children with cancer so its a good cause and my hair will grow back

  • you are the absolute cutest thing, ever. I've been looking for a tutorial for long hair with no avail until I stumbled across your video. make a blog!

  • @brokahontas

thank you so much thats sweet to say, i'm cutting & donating my hair next week... any requests before i do - i want to make one last long hair video!

  • I LOVE it, Sam! I'm going to try this. I swear. And you'll get to hear all about my epic failure at it.

  • Except I need you to show me how to properly do these pin curls you speak of. :S

  • @gillnewing after thesis i'll give you step by step intructions ;)

  • Beautiful!! Can't wait for more.

  • Beautiful!!

  • Excellent video!

  • great video sam! it's as if you just time traveled from the 60s :) Even though I cut of all my hair, I'll still subscribe! Can you do a faux hawk tutorial? haha :p

  • @beldski yeah for sure there are so many retro styles for short hair... they all had short hair back then.... i'm lopping off all my hair and donating it over spring break ... so all my videos will be about short hair then

  • Simply lovely!

  • cute! what lipstick are you wearing again?

  • @deexvonxrock

I'm wearing josie maran Magic Marker Lip & Cheek Stain in flamenco

  • This is really cool! I hope a multitude of women pay attention to this video and make themselves look as gorgeous as the 1940's ladies looked. What I remember about the 1950's hairstyles on women is that a fellow could under no circumstances touch it (unless he had a death wish). BTW, I came across this by accident, I was surfing for Andrews Sisters videos (I was in love with all 3, especially Patty).

    You go, Girl!!!

  • @1nightstorm

thank you so much, I have always loved the beauty of that era. the andrew sister are amazing i've loved them ever since me and my grandma would dance around the kitchen after school listening to their album

  • amazing!!!! so gorgeous sammy :)
