Kesler has been a Selke finalist the past 2 years, he's on pace for a 40+ goal season and if he keeps playing at the level he has been recently then he'll be a PPG player. He also is excellent in faceoffs, the penalty kill, and powerplays. He works harder than anybody you'll see on your team for sure. The only reason people hate Kesler is because they wish he was on their team. Same with Ovechkin, Crosby, Stamkos, the list goes on.

@louiebri i never said best offensive player, i said best OVERALL player. i agree iginla is a better finisher, but thats all he does is score goals. he does absolutely nothing else. kesler is one of the best faceoff guys in the game, he kills penalties, blocks shots and only had 13 less points then iginla this season. his plus/minus was a +24, iginla's was a sad miserable 0. not to mention hes been nominated for the selke trophy 3 years straight. so in my opinion, kesler is a better player ;)

Another little tidbit on Iginla; this season he became one of only 10 players to score 30 or more goals in 10 consecutive seasons. That's some elite company. He's a great player, but don't downsize one great player for another. Obviously everyone who's in the league has worked their asses off to get where they are. No matter what player, or what team. Some shine brighter than others, some are just working up their skills. That's no reason to downgrade anybody. Keep that in mind.

So Football is more tiring then Hockey. Kesler has been a Selke finalist the past 2 years, he's on pace for a 40+ goal season and if he keeps playing at the level he has been recently then he'll be a PPG player. He also is excellent in faceoffs, the penalty kill, and powerplays. He works harder than anybody you'll see on your team for sure. The only reason people hate Kesler is because they wish he was on their team. Same with Ovechkin, Crosby, Stamkos, the list goes on.
