I agree with both of the below comments. Mainstream Christianity is very much a pagan religion which is sad because christianity was my meant for this. I am a Muslim and as such believe in all the revelations before the Prophet Muhammad. However, over time those messages were corrupted. Most of the so claimed facts (or maybe all!) are based on lies or they didn't research it that well. Roman catholics started to celebrate the birth of Jesus on the 25th dec. I guess they mixed up Mithra and Jesus.

If I remember correctly, Jesus was born around March/April, but the church decided to celebrate in December to try to get the Pagans to see that we are not so different, as a way to try to convert them to Christianity. They wanted our Catholic holidays to be close to the Pagan holidays, like I said, so they could convert the Pagans to Christianity, and snuff out the Pagan religion without having to kill them all.

So in European setting, when we found the true belief and religion, Christianity, we placed it as our priority, adapt it into our tradition or cultural setting that includes our perception, and we disposed off the pagan belief. When the people long time ago adopt the Christian belief, they replaced pagan belief with Christian belief. Jesus Christ was actually born somewhere in March. However, due to uncertainty of calendar system at that era, modern church adopt 25th December as Jesus' birthday to symbolise that we Christians find our true saviour and true guidance to God. Well the beginning of the video discredits the merit of the theme. The claims made do not even come close to representing the mythology of Horus. This is perhaps the worst example of insane rambling I have come across. Horus was the Sky God locked in mortal combat with Set for rulership of Egypt. Of these two gods we know a great deal. Every single statement made by the narrator in the first 40 seconds of this video are to be immediately called into question.
People really need to fact-check things like this before they believe it. If you actually read up on Horus, Mithra, etc., you'd find that almost everything this video claims is outright false, with zero evidence that it was ever believed of those deities. I did not finish the video because I already found a flaw. I have studied ancient Egyptian mythology and I have not come across anything that goes over the life of Horus as depicted in the first minute. If Christianity is pagan, then so is Islam. Why? Because Islam comes from the same sources. I agree with both of the below comments. Mainstream Christianity is very much a pagan religion which is sad because christianity was my meant for this. If I remember correctly, Jesus was born around March/April, but the church decided to celebrate in December to try to get the Pagans to see that we are not so different, as a way to try to convert them to Christianity. They wanted our Catholic holidays to be close to the Pagan holidays, like I said, so they could convert the Pagans to Christianity, and snuff out the Pagan religion without having to kill them all.

So in European setting, when we found the true belief and religion, Christianity, we placed it as our priority, adapt it into our tradition or cultural setting that includes our perception, and we disposed off the pagan belief. When the people long time ago adopt the Christian belief, they replaced pagan belief with Christian belief. to help people to understand more about why the Christians have similarities with the pagan appeals, I'll use simple language and less religious jargon. It is like this, let's say I like red colour and I owned an old Adidas shoe but it is actually a fake Adidas shoe, not the original one from Adidas company.
When I see an original Adidas shoe at shop, I get it and use it. It looks the same as my old one but I throw the old one. I used the new one because it is original.

However, due to uncertainty of calendar system at that era, modern church adopt 25th December as Jesus' birthday to symbolise that we Christians find our true saviour and true guidance to God. The adoption was all in purpose of symbolising that we remove our Pagan belief because we have found the true belief which is Christianity.

the myth cycle of jesus isn't absolutely reliant on other nonjudaic myth cycles. nonjudaic influence is minimal, tho it is there. the sacrifice atonement concept is likely derived from the "scapegoating" tradition of the herbrew's. that you would take a goat and put the collective sins of a community on it send it out of town to die and absolve youre community of its sins.

Well the beginning of the video discredits the merit of the theme. The claims made do not even come close to representing the mythology of Horus. This is perhaps the worst example of insane rambling I have come across. Horus was the Sky God locked in mortal combat with Set for rulership of Egypt. Of these two gods we know a great deal. I did not finish the video because I already found a flaw. I have studied ancient Egyptian mythology and I have not come across anything that goes over the life of Horus as depicted in the first minute. magi were the preistly class of the zoroastrian religion, which was very predominate in the ancient world in the near and middle east. they were astrologers among other functions they served for their faith.

other than a few obviously stolen elements, the majority of the jesus myths follow a very jewish myth structure. yahwist myths generally all follow structure and a repetative. moses 12 tribes, joseph 12 bro's,jesus 12 diciples, etc..

Jesus was not born on Dec. 25th. That is a church tradition which is based on the fact that the Catholic church wanted to meet the pagans half way. In reality, Jesus was born late Sept. early Oct. during the feast of Tabernacles. But the video is very interesting.

By turning christian, the power of Rome would now become both military AND spiritual. Their former god, Mithra, was also born on a 25th of December, so people wouldn't get confused by the switch.

If Christianity is pagan, then so is Islam. Why? Because Islam comes from the same sources. In fact, I'd say Islam would be even more pagan... because it borrows from many of these later, more mystical writings after the New Testament was written. The arabs were passing around all sorts of stories and superstitions at the time of Muhammad. So look to your own house first!

If all these others are regarded by rabib Christian zealots as MYTH, what distinction makes the Jesus myth any more factual? A book (New Testament) written by co-conspititors (the Apostles) is NOT proof that what they wrote is true. The story may be "nice" but like the Easter Bunny of the Tooth Fairy, Jesus is lacking in substance.
