@RJFSHADOWSMUSIC It's not a competition, it's music. Nobody beats anyone, it's only a matter of taste, nothing more. I, for example, don't like this version at all, but I don't like the Shadows version either. Maybe I should record my own version, but I don't like the song that much, so I guess I will never do that.

@5159mf I'm not an expert, but as far as I know Jimmie Nicol played with the Spotnicks in 1965 and 1967 and this song was said to be recorded in 1961, so I guess he doesn't play on this one. But otherwise, yes, Jimmie Nicol played with the Spotnicks and he also temporarily replaced Ringo of the Beatles on tour in 1964.
