@EthanTheTruth Summerslam was great , if you watch the match between Daniel Bryan and Wade Barret you'll see that WWE can still produce pure technically amazing wrestling
Look at how boss Chono looks at 0:50 - 0:54, 1:55 - 2:14 like "you coming into MY jungle" xD epic atmosphere between 2 legends formerly of nWo. And the reception from this crowd just shows absolute appreciation. This has got be bigger than the last several WrestleManias at least ^^
@garyowenrocks The crowds in Japan are a lot different than in America... they are more reserved than the american audience; it doesn't mean they aren't loving it though.
After this, Hogan was suppose to sign with NWA-TNA to do a fued with Jeff Jarrett but do to medical problems, he was unable to sign and waited 5 more years and signed with TNA.
I thought he was with wwe at this time on smackdown? He's wearing all his wwe gear, this was the year he vsd vince at wm, so maybe after that finished so was he, correct me if im wrong
@STK0Y0 and then make TNA worse than it was before he even signed that deal? hell yeah! if you want any company to be ruined, Hulkster is the man to do it! ;)
@brannengarrett I am not a fan of Hogan being in TNA either and for awhile it was getting bad after he got there. But over the last 6 weeks TNAs weekly ratings for impact and Reaction have went up each week This past weeks Impact was their highest ever on Thursday nights with a 1.4 which is almost 2 million viewers That night reaction did a .73 In comparison Smackdown the next night only did a 1.6, very low for that show TNA has been gaining new ground with what they have been doing lately

Come on:
Even if you are a fan of him you gotta admit that he is probably the most overrated wrestler in history.
His ring skills are shameful, his mic skills are borderline comedic and his look is probably the least apealling factor he has. On top of that he needs to be the asshole backstage that refuses to put people over him and will do pretty much anything to keep hogging the spotlight.
If the japanese crowds are so proud of their Puro, they should at least be able to boo him
More like Triple H. Or even John Cena. At least Hogan made wrestling cool. You should watch some of his early Japanese matches if you want to see his ring work. And if people wat to see ring skills so badly, I don't get why they just don't watch the Big Ten Network. They were meant to be that way. And yet it's iconic. He actually put many, many people over.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
More like Triple H, Batista and Kevin Nash.
Hogan might have put some people over, but he is best know for having a huge fucked-ego that refuses to put people over.
The same kind of fucked-up ego that helped kill WCW, the same kind of ego that buried Booker T and RVD, the same kind of ego that bullies companies into giving them titles just out of the blue.
It that really the kind of guy you want to cheer for?
Did you see some of the shit they were doing on WCW? That can't be blamed on one man. And how the hell did he bury RVD? He never even wrestled in the same company as Hogan until 2003. And most of the guys meant to succesed him couldn't handle it, so they go back to what was working before. I'd rather cheer for him then say, Chris Beniot.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Bringing up Benoit is a bit of a stretch to make a point.
And with Booker T and RVD I meant Triple H's ego.
If you want someone to cheer for, cheer for The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels: Great in-ring abilities, great looks, great gimmicks, great mic-skills, and are not above putting someone else over.
Even in defeat their opponents end up loooking 100 times better.
Did that ever happen with Hogan, HHH, Nash or Batista?
Why? I'd rather cheer for a guy who may or may not have held people down, then say a killer. Hell, I've seen people compare Hogan to facist dictators like Mussilini and Hussen. Oh, why didn't you say so? I do. I just like Hogan more. At least when he was still fairly mobile. Hey, so did several of the guys Hogan lost to. Lesnar, The Rock, Yokonusa, Taker. I'd have to say yes. Remeber their matches against HBK, Bret Hart, Steve Austin, Rock, ect.
Even if he did run WCW like a dictator, comparing a wrestler to a genocidal maniac is a huge stretch. You should have bitchslapped whoever did said that.
I guess it all comes down to personal taste. I'm just saying people should evaluate who they're cheering for. A talented guy that helps out younger guys, or an untalented asshole who buries other wrestlers.
I would've, but I was talking to them in the same way as I to you. If he wasn't talented, he wouldn't have lasted this long. And like I said, he helped push several guys, especially in his older days.
think about this! ric flair busts me open and its all over the papers the follolling day!!even in japan and the uk!! tell me when cena was cut open at bragging rights did it make the papers?
yes but you have to realize Hogan MADE the WWF the dominating company in wrestling. before Hulkamania in the 80s, wrestling was all regional promotions like the old NWA was. Vince Jr. used Hogan to transform Vince Sr's regional territory with Bob Backlund (a freestyle wrestler) into the international, larger-than-life powerhouse. Plus, the WWF made Hogan the icon he is today. Its only natural that the anthology would have mostly WWE and some WCW stuff.
I do. In fact I wish some of these IWC yahoo's would realize that too, and at the same time get over their love affair with Chris Benoit. I just still wish they showed some of his more wrestling sound matches, which would also show just how beloved world wide he is. I am glad they showed his XWF match, it was nice seeing him and Curt Henning go at it one last time.
