@sylicone221 she was being prescribed it for an injury. her death was officially listed as an accidental overdose (od's aren't usually on purpose, but typically they don't add 'accidental' to "junkie" deaths). but yes, fentanyl is obscenely strong. the only reason i was compelled to reply to this comment was because i lost a dear friend who was a true addict and got started using opiates due to fentanyl, but many doctors just prescribe meds and don't inform or monitor their patients about risks

@sylicone221 i don't know how long she'd been taking it or prescribed dosage. so her dosage very well may have been too high. or if she was taking other meds, they may have been meds that shouldn't be taken at the same time as fentanyl. it's worse because it's stronger, so many inexperienced patients or addicts can easily od. it typically comes in a patch now, i think to control dosage easier. she may have been used to a certain amount, but not given instructions on how to take it properly

@sylicone221 yeah, she died from just Fentanyl, but it could have been what killed her because of other things she was taking. Not saying that's 100% what happened or anything. I honestly believe that whoever prescribed it to her just didn't monitor her very well or make sure that she knew how to take it. Fentanyl is just a very very very strong pain killer. Heroin and any of the "contin" pills are pain killers too, but just not as strong.

Danno, i'm just like you, I came across this movie recently (mainly caught my eye because of keira)

Then when I watched it I loved it, the next day I was online researching the real domino harvey, I've just fallen in love with her life too, she was amazing.

She lived her life to the full and was never afraid to die, thats what made her so special.

So sad that she died so young, but she lived a better life than anyone I have ever known, and all because she was never afraid to try.

Actually the comment in the documentary is wrong. If you look on wikipedia (yes I know it's not always right) there is a link to a scan of the coroners report. Including the full narrative about the circumstances.

According to the report she died of an accidental overdose of Fentanly (which is also in the description for this video) while taking a bath. While she didn't have a prescription for it at the time another site quotes her mother as saying she thinks she was prescribed it previously.

I just got finished...and i mean just got finished watching one of macy gray's videos(shoo be doo) and it made me think of this movie being that she appeared in it. This is one of those movies that just makes you sit back and THINK! and to be frank, this movie really inspired me to one day move to either L.A. or Vegas.Im here to speak for the mix races of America....
