I'm 22. I started listening to Green Day when I was 11 (or when I was 5 if you count hearing the teenagers play it in the mid 90's).

I think even though I'm not a teenager anymore this stuff reminds me of how I felt and how much I've grown, and its' weird because it was written when I was a baby.

I think they really do know how to make songs about adolescence that are timeless, I hope my kids listen to Green Day

Music like this is becoming rarer and rarer. With all this pop and rap and techno and all that other talentness "music" shit going round real music will die out. The fact that Billie can rip out a song from almost 20 years ago and sing well enough that it sounds exactly the same as the recorded track is excellent. By the way, the set list looks killer, I went to their Melbourne concert in December which was awesome but didn't have a list that long.
