I just saw them for the first time lastnight in Buffalo, NY. I thought they were really good. I bought their CD.

I am a fan of his daddy's music. Honestly - many things let me think it's a very good band :

Jon's voice is excellent, their sound is "rough", their compositions are original

Their CD's ok i s'pose... - BUT - Pity it's another case of the "son of" thing. It's as if celebrity is a breed... Would fictionplane be where they are if Mr singer wasn't Daddy's lil' boy ? I DOUBT IT. There are millions of bands out here way more talented but that will never see the sunlight cuz they don't know the right people. It makes me puke.

I think FP are great, I can't find their albums in most local stores. Just cause he opened for his Dad's band doesn't exactly give him instant success. I wish they were bigger than they actually are.. so that maybe I could get their cd's locally and not have to buy online. People who rip on him simply cause he's Sting's son is really low in my opinion. With the amount of shitty trendy musicians out there and you have to rip on one that obviously has inheritted some real talent. FP RIPS!!

You should see them live before, and then you could juge of their talent. No matter who is father is, his voice is incredible and their music is great.
