he moves really slowly he could go faster but he is probably just doing that to really put stress on the back it make sence and his form is fuckin superb
This man has the absolute best exercise form I have ever seen. In a training world where everyone uses momentum to be "impressive", I am astounded at the perfection in his Doug's form. Everyone should follow this example.
Would this be considered a full body workout or would you have to include more things to get total coverage? If so, would you do them all in a row or break them up into separate workouts?
Ow! I've worked out with Doug now for 15+ years and every single workout is the HARDEST I have ever done. Doug does an incredible job of structuring each workout to require MAXIMUM intensity.
2)Why the pyramid-esque drop of the weight on the pullups for that extra positive? That doesn't increase the intensity of the set, being as that positive with just your bodyweight was equal to the intensity of the last positive with the weight on your waist. Wouldnt you have been better served using those steps to boost yourself to the top for a couple negatives, if anything? Otherwise, fantastic video. Im just curious what the train of thought was behind those points.
Your form was outstanding, you without a doubt pushed to failure, & you CERTAINLY did the right thing by only doing one set. But I have 2 question:
1)The exercise choices. Why not skip the shoulder press, & use all your juice on those pushups? Severe overlapping on the triceps & delts. If you're going to do both the pullups & pullovers, why not do the pullovers first, THEN the pullups, in pre-exhaust fashion?
hi,
is that your gym or a place you work out at ?? nice nautilus shoulder shrug machine by the back wall.

I would include one exercise for the erector spinae and one for the rectus abdominis muscle. And I would do them all in a row.

Only Dough Holland could somhow get the HAL 9000 to follow him around and capture this.
I was fortunate to enter into one of Doug's original contraptions call 'The Chamber'
ask him about his Mississippi Street, Ruston location sometime.
Many a folk have purged after that one!
Good job, my friend.

If the critics could hang long enough to do SS this way, THE way, then they would shut their mouths.
