Just because one chooses to critique the the Jewish & Christian "holy" books does not mean that they're excusing all other religious texts as well. The major reason for these so-called "contradictions" is decontextualization, that is a result of materialist predjudice and gross misunderstanding of the Bible itself.People tend read the bible as a newspapers, ignoring the social and cultural context of the ancient world, not to mention the broad range of specialized knowlege required for the understanding the Bible.

He said He tells the past and the future, there is no book like the bible for telling the future.

I taught Youth Ministries, collected money for the Red Kettles, drove one of their vans for 2 years to pick up kids for both Wednesday night services and some Sunday mornings. I feed the poor, I am poor right now, and I still help the homeless. I was homeless for almost a year after my landlord was foreclosed on..but thank you for NOT KNOWING ME! You don't know crap!

Its true that the bible is full of contradictions and fallacies. However the thing about proving that god exists cannot be done. In order to prove something scientifically it must have measurable qualities and attributes. Since god cannot be proven, he cannot be disporven. Never the less i am a believer in god since there is so much science can have evidence for and yet cannot seem to apprehend what it is. despite i am not saying that bible is the word of god.

There are a lot of problems with how you presented the bible. Youre not too literal; the actual issue through all eight clips is not being complete. I dont dislike atheists; however, its a common issue as I view clips from atheists. They read a sentence but ignore what was before it and after it. After the Exodus, God specifically laid down the laws regarding the ark in regards to shipping and handling. These laws applied to the Israelites and were taught vigorously to them. Notice when "non-Israelites" (ignorant to the law) capture the ark and place it next to their god. Jehovah doesn't kill any of those who captured the ark, but does damage the idol of their god. Jehovah only justifies striking the 70 Levites down that broke the law, because they grew up knowing the law.

To deny the existence of God is a contradiction as this implies that there is a god in existence to be denied. But I think you are correct that, technically, an atheist is against God. But that's why those of use who are neither christian nor atheist need a new word, because from where I stand, God does not exist, and therefore I can neither believe nor disbelieve - it's simply a non-entity. It's merely the IDEA of such a notion that has the power to influence people one way or another.

You are absolutely right and bravo for you saying that having 'in god we trust' on our coins is unconstitutional! it's incredible that we are so primitive to accept this travesty and destruction of the constitution.

"In god we trust" is unconstitutionally on our coins. It is there because those supporting this travesty had more political muscle and financial influence than those seeking to uphold the constitution. It was brought about by a power-play in which the Constitution and its supporters lost.
