i really dont get how any communist could be against mega upload.. seriously!
i mean, have it your way i would assume the only problem you have is that megaupload wasnt owned by that bourgeoisie with guns -cough-.. communist government..
or what?
im not really trying to be a smart ass.. im really asking..
The government is run not by a "business class" but by a plutocracy.
These copyright laws are nothing but a charade, a smoke bomb, a curtain that hides what is going on behind it.
Which is: At the end of the Oil/consumer/capitalist era, things will get ugly. In order to hold power the circle of people around the government arena, are setting all the building blocks for a fascist state. Even if they honestly don't see themselves as such, just like Stalin was in denial of what his actions caused.
The global capitalists love big government and socialisme for their own class, but the second the proles try to turn the same processes of power on the bourgeoisie, they point their obese fingers at the "horrible commie tyrants." More Federal bailouts and laws to line the pockets of the owning class and more kangaroo trials to shackle the owned class. America should enjoy their Boojwa state pen communism owned and operated by who else but the capitalist elite.
I never used for MegaUpload for music or Film lol... I used it to get Old Mac (I mean really old) Software, and that is why I liked about, so, somethings are gone... but heck, it is nice to have the floppy button hehe. but no films. (no point on that, Torrents seem to have some advantages, but not many)
i couldn't agree with you more on this issue... it's a gray area because intellectual property in itself is the main enemy and a tool of neocolonialism. that's why you have united states breathing down the neck of every developing country to export it's intellectual property laws. no doubt megaupload is a capitalist enterprise but file sharing websites and torrent trackers allow millions of working class people to download files such as books which would otherwise cost them hundreds of dollars.
"Without the bourgeiose, there will be no state" What do you mean? The state will always take money from the rich and poor in the form of taxes, only that in a capitalist system, the state is being paid by the bourgeoisie to perform special interests for them. The state is not a slave to the corporate, it is directly ALLIED with it, and it is the bourgeoisies greatest friend. During the bailouts, the corporate CEOs were actually very divided whether to accept TARP and Fed.
@yankydoodle83 Yes, that is because there are two different classes of capitalists: The Industrial Capitalist, and the Merchant Capitalist. Corporate CEO's have a conflicting interest if their money is being played with by bankers, so they (Some, i am not saying it would have been great for them, but...) would have liked to have seen the state take over the banks and only give out loans and save money in the bank instead of play and gamble with "their" Capital.

A question, if I may:
