I believe Sweet Home Chicago is a Robert Johnson composition. Johnny Shines had the chance to meet and travel with him in his prime. I don't believe I've heard Shines version, but this cover does the song justice as I know it. Nice job, really. It's good to hear a guitarist with skill, among all the Billy Joe Armstrongs of this world, lol.

I think it sounds better not using a thumbpick because it sounds to harsh with one. Altough all the greats used thumpicks it was prob because they sacrificed tone to project themselves over crowds of people before amplification

well you can get the overpriced robert johnson signature model which is pretty much an L-1 reissue with a special inlay on the 12th fret
