  • I know. they have time for all that singing since Andy is not serving up the cocktails-to busy watching the tube! Hey, make it a double!

  • This video needs more Adam's Apple.

  • This is soo dope

  • this video needs more Gina Gershon

  • 1:23, sup!

  • love the cars !!

  • Andy Warhol does your video: the ultimate imprimatur

  • I was like 13 years old when I first heard this song, and it was from a Nick at Nite commercial. That commercial changed my life. :)

  • gina gershon

  • Also appearing: Diane Brill, downtown doyenne of the 1980s, whose boyfriend Rudolph ran the great Danceteria....

  • They played this at the store the other day....

  • AMAZING!

  • pretty good acid music

  • Warhol ain't hustling those drinks quick enough. Great artist, bad bartender.

  • Andy Warhol as the bartender? BOSS!

  • How incredible to see and hear this as their opening song tour 2011. Original good time

  • Kim Cattral at 2:14?

  • Ah, the 80's. This was one wierd video. An underrated song. Good times!

  • Interesting assessment by the young woman at the beginning about NYC being a "big phallic symbol" when it has a large fertile gash right in the middle called Central Park. It even has a wet spot in the park.

  • OMG Warhol... this video is just dripping with Warhol Excelent I love the Cars...

  • This video isn't uncensored, The Heartbeat City VHS features the uncensored cut featuring a completely different beginning, shot order, and topless shots of women scattered throughout. Like the car bursting through the wall in the beginning, the car "hits" two topless chicks on the VHS. The video ends with a toy car driving around the bare chest of a woman.

  • Ha ! I saw a young Gina Gershon at 0:40 , and Andy Warhol as the bartender, I wonder who else was famous...or would become famous in this video

  • I wonder whatever happened with the 25th anniversary cd that was supposed to come out? With the new tracks sung by Orr. I imagine it is late....

  • oh my gosh this looks so brand new they look so young with great clear picture is this really them ...im shocked :0

  • Hit #20 pop, #22 rock in Billboard. RIP, Ben. God bless!

  • Also has cameos of John Sex and Ethyl Eichelberger....

  • @jomama5150

    But breakdancing?

  • "New York City is a big phallic symbol." That made me laugh pretty blasted hard.

  • @jomama5150

    Hehe, ok I understand :)

  • I use to break dance to this music??????

  • @jomama5150

How can you breakdance to this rhythm? :)

  • "tounge." hm. nevermind.

  • can't believe i got censored for using the word "tongue." it's not a dirty word! i suppose i should try misspelling it like every other person i know, tounge, tounge, tounge. stoopid.

  • @GoRedSpiritFly

    Hehe :)

  • Is that Andy Warhol as the bartender? Cool vid. The Cars had so many great tunes...thanks for posting.

  • @ThePopcyclePete Andy Warhol also produced this video, hence its pop art perfect design. It was filmed at the Palladium (NYC) and cast full of clubgoers from the mid-eighties -- check out Gina Gershon sticking her tongue out "hello" at 0:40, what a hottie! Dianne Brill too, she's the one often saying "hello" in yet another very pop-tastic manner. Good times. The 80's were truly an alternate-universe era of fashion.

  • @GoRedSpiritFly

    Cool fun fact ,)

  • @ThePopcyclePete Yes, that's Warhol

  • Is that Andy Warhol as the bartender? Crazy vid...these guys had so many great songs. Love the Cars.

  • @ThePopcyclePete

Yes it's the Andy Warhol himself ,)

  • Sure doesn't sound like Neil Diamond's song of the same name. Hit #20 in Billboard.

  • I don't think its uncensored its the way I remember it
